Twin Troubles
Story by Martina Martinović
Illustrated by Martina Martinović
-
These are
twin brothers. -
Their
names are Pierre and Paul -
Their
father can't tell them apart. -
Their
mother of course can. -
Pierre
and Paul love playing soccer. -
They also
love basketball. -
They love
theatre. -
They both
play the violin. -
They also
both play the piano. -
One day, their school's soccer and basketball teams were looking for new players, and Pierre and Paul went to try out for the teams. -
They came home happy, because they made the teams. -
Their dad said: “Look honey!" -
"Paul is going to be a soccer player!” -
“And Pierre is going to be a basketball player!” -
The mom said: “No, you’re wrong!” -
"The
basketball player... -
...is Paul!" -
"And the
soccer player... -
is Pierre!" -
But their dad just couldn’t tell them apart. -
When a
school play was being put on, Pierre
and Paul went to audition for the
roles of the king and the cook. -
They came home happy, because they got the parts! -
Their dad said: “Look honey!” -
“Paul is the king!” -
"And
Pierre is the cook!" -
The mom said: “No, you’re wrong!” -
"The cook... -
...is Paul!" -
"And the king... -
...is Pierre!" -
But their
dad just couldn't tell them apart. -
Soon the school orchestra was looking for a pianist and a violinist, and Paul and Pierre went to audition. -
They came home happy, because they were accepted into the orchestra -
The dad said: “Look honey!” -
"Pierre
is the pianist!" -
"And Paul
is the violinist!" -
And
everyone was happy, because the dad
finally got it right!
