Hello, welcome to my e-portfolio. This website is designed to demonstrate my competence and suitability for a teaching program or law school admission.
There’s a quote from Jim Henson about teaching that resonates with me: “Kids don’t remember what you try to teach them. They remember what you are.” The spirit of that quote applies to this portfolio. This website, as you are viewing it, is a snapshot in time – it is a living document. At this moment, entering my third year of university, I have not yet concluded whether I would rather be a teacher or a lawyer. For that reason, I am currently appealing to recruiters of both fields. The professions of teaching and law are, by nature, important. A teacher or a lawyer can have a profound impact on a significant number of lives. As alluded to in the quote shared, I believe the most crucial part of any prospective teacher or lawyer is not what they know, or what they have done (though those things surely matter), I believe it is who they are. Who they are is encapsulated in their values and aptitudes. Therefore, it is my goal with this portfolio to display the qualities of a person who would be a valuable addition to a teaching program or law school.
