Harish Dang
Harish Dang has left an indelible mark on the Indian community in New England over the past 50 years. Having received the inaugural “Legacy Award” at the annual NECA award in 2024, he is an institution by himself. He recently retired after working as an architect for a decade and then 35 years in Finance with large brokerage companies in Boston.
While at school at Harvard in early seventies, he became active with MIT Sangam and then in the formation of IAGB. He is the founder and creator of the famous Indian Radio Music Show Sounds of India, which ran for a record 40 years.
Harish-ji’s humble, generous, and kind-hearted nature has made him a beloved figure and an inspiration to many. He is committed to being a great resource to help take IAGB to the next level.
Vaishali Gade
Vaishali Gade is a finance professional working with one of the world’s largest IT companies. In her role, she has supported numerous clients by driving strong and consistent financial performance.
Ms. Gade is deeply committed to fostering community engagement, preserving our cultural heritage, and contributing to the long-term success of IAGB. As a trustee, she recognizes the critical role of ensuring continuity, maintaining accountability, and upholding high standards across all initiatives. With her skills, experience, and dedication, she aims to strengthen IAGB’s mission, promote inclusivity, and support impactful programs that unite and empower the Indian American community.
Tanu Phoenix
A lifelong enthusiast, Tanu is known for her initiative, empathy, and excellence in both professional and community spheres. A Senior Change Management & Leadership Mentor in a high-end AI & IT consulting firm, her diverse career spans teaching, public speaking, dance, event coordination, and community leadership.
She served as President of IAGB (2023–2025), is a founder and former Cultural Director of IAB, and currently serves as Board Secretary of Saheli Boston. She also volunteers with Alzheimer’s patients, hospice facilities, meals to heal programs, homeless shelters, and local hospitals. Recipient of the India New England Woman of the Year 2024 and the Medal of Courage, Tanu is a strong advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially for women and seniors. As primary caregiver to her parents and role model to her daughter, she aspires to leave a legacy of resilience, humanity, inclusivity and community empowerment.
Her goal as a Trustee is to safeguard IAGB’s mission, be a guardian of IAGB’s values, a catalyst for long-term, strategic growth, and a bridge-builder between the Executive Committee, the community, and the larger ecosystem in which IAGB thrives.
