These duckboards in Gower Hey Woods afford walkers a dry passage across an area of swamp. Fallen trees in the swamp are covered with moss - see them on Hyde DP Xtra.
Tomorrow Hyde Daily Photo will be 5 years old.
Over recent months I have been going through all the old posts, removing many dead links and irrelevant comments, and overhauling the tags/labels.
This brings to an end Hyde Daily Photo Volume 1 (2006 - 2011). The archives here will continue to be maintained.
A new blog has been created at https://hydedaily.blogspot.com/ The new URL is five letters shorter but although photo has been dropped from the URL they will still be the main content of the new blog.
Additional photographs will continue to be published on Hyde DP Xtra which is also where you will find the links to my blogger friends.
Non-contemporary material will still be published from time to time on Old Hyde.

On Mothering Sunday last week some 100 athletes took part in a 5 mile race from Swains Valley up to Werneth Low and back.
Here the front runners are emerging from Swains Valley onto the Trans Pennine Trail.
More photographs can be found on Hyde DP Xtra.
A full report on the race can be found at the Kiwi Classic Events website.
