Sri Lankan Burghers are the same.
]]>Thanks for speaking about our former king NIZAM and CITY OF NAWABS.
I really thank each and every for discussing the facts but not for rumors.
As a hyderabadi i respect NIZAM for all his contribution to our state.
Many of my friends(above) saying that he has not collected taxes then how he was able to rule?…..Every govt or king needs some money(income) to rule right?
Yes i agree he developed the state and facilitated many things which are enoughto lead a balanced life.Last Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan constructed useful Dams like Nizam Sagar,Gandipet lake etc..,
(from wikipedia)
Before Nizam Sagar was built, the Manjira River was not properly harnessed and little water was being used by diverting water at Ghanpur Anicut for Irrigating about 5,000 acres and an open Channel called Mahaboob Nahar (Right Canal) in Medak District. The Ghanpur Anicut was the first scheme constructed across Manjira river in 1904 at a cost of Rs.18.00 Lakhs. Some years later, Nawab Ali Nawaj Jung Bahadur as Superintending Engineer added Fatch Nahar ( Left canal ) to increase the utility of the river later. The ayacut of 17,308 acres was being irrigated under this Ghanpur Anicut which subsequently increased to 30,000 acres as per actuals.
Nizam sagar Project is the second irrigation scheme on Manjira river and the largest in the then Hyderabad state taken up during the year 1923 and completed by the year 1931. This Project was originally contemplated for utilization of 58.00 TMC of water to irrigate 2,75,000 acres in Banswada, Bodhan, Nizamabad and Armoor Taluks of Nizamabad District. After reorganization of States in 1956, the Manjira basin got distributed among the three states viz., Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
This project fulfills the thirst of twin cities people to present and continues.
Nizams also built Gandipet dam(Osman sagar). The dam was built by Mir Osman Ali Khan, the seventh Nizam of Hyderabad, in the year 1920; hence the lake got the name as ‘Osman Sagar’.
The purpose of building the dam was to supply water to the glorious kingdom of the Nizam. The flood water from the nearby places was also diverted to this water body so that the villages can be saved. Gandipet is also an important catchment area, in the past and even in the coming years.
To say about his contribution to the state it takes years for me.
(In my view) At the same time there are negatives in his rule. He himself doesn’t rule whole area,he has many subordinates who misused their power. He appointed local people(Doralu,Landlords) to rule particular areas.Under each landlord there were many villages. Nizam appointed Razakars as ambassadors to look after these landlords.
I personally believe that the reason or cause for the RAZAKAR MOVEMENT was the way the landlords(some of many) treated their people. My grandfathers and many of our elders witnessed the cruelty of landlords(Doralu). And when Razakars supported these landlords instead of supporting the justice, the hatred started budding up against the NIZAM as Razakars were his representatives.
“There were a few kings in the history who really care about their people and Nizam is one of them.”
And more importantly one of our friends(AHMED) was telling that the name India was came from Persia and Arabs. Brother may i ask you
Where from these Persian,Arabs and other languages came from? I mean the origin of languages.
Hope you know it very well.
Why you people talk about sir. Sardar Patel?
Who was he to hyderabad and hyderabadis?
We hyderabadis wanted to unite with the India that’s the reason some of our
protesters and VIP’s consulted the indian govt and he was then representative of indian government. If not sir.sardar patel we would have united under other great Officials.
And there were some friends telling about to read history books,I would really be happy if you people provide me the details of some history books(Nizam,Telangana). By replying to this comment.
Lets keeep talking about our history…………..”Im really very happy to be a hyderabadi.”

I dont want to be an Indian or an american… I want to be an earthian..
also, one comment about the original post.. I have studied sanskrit during my 5th grade till 8 grade.. and then in 11th and 12th grades.. I get reminded of one poem (subhasitani) which is “Words conjoined with reason should be perceived from a child as well as a parrot. Those devoid of reason should not be grasped, even coming from ÅšrÄ« Bá¹›haspati (GOD) himself. ” in this context it means that be wise enough to know what is right..
anger only creates problems.. its love that solves it!!
]]>I am not an IIT’ian but have respect for those guys….if you read the book “The IITians” by sandeepan das you will know that none of the students there consider themselves as pursuing Bachelor of Technology…but they would rather prefer to think that they are pursing bachelor of learning. Thats why even a IIT electrical engg student can slog his ass like no one else could and head Mckinsey.
So dude…..shame on you of thinking to fill this espace with your crap. Get a LIFE!

]]>Hi Monica my friend is an Indian and looking for true
]]>yea , true, its undeniable that in India women are treated as objects, and even after so many years , women’s status is the same, sigh 😦
]]>I realize that the ratio of good men to nice women is not equal, not in India at least. Its a sad state, but yes there it is. Most Indian men consider their women to be their property, and if you become their loyal dog, they will not reciprocate the same in most cases :-(. They will just go ahead and cheat behind our backs, at times , wonder how do such evil creatures sleep.
]]>My 3rd bf was a monster, I compare him to the re-incarnation of the evil. He is an Indian but has lived major part of his life outside India (Europe, USA). I found out that he was one big porn addict, that also would be much of an issue. But, yes, he actually never honestly loved me at any moment, and I was dearth honest with him, kind of thought my soul is with him. I feel sorry for that more than anything in my life. Such weak people who just demand honesty from their partners, when they themselves are cheating behind the screens. He was bald and ugly , so I thought , he should have learnt the lessons of life by then ( he is 36). But then gals, never go by that calculation, at any age, and, even if they look ugly, they can cheat on you. I feel sorry to say this, but yes, this is the man I once truly loved, but sigh 😦 I cant change the evil in him. ]]>
