Name: Heartened
Location: Southern Michigan/Northern Ohio
Domestic Status: Married, kids, pets.
Mental Status: Far off center, tilted heavily to the left.
Political Leanings: 'see mental status'
Social Morals: If you don't want an abortion, a GLBT marriage or a belief in Something other than some multi-million dollar mega-church's definition of Deity – DON'T HAVE ONE and let the rest of us get on with our lives and our loves. 'Nuff said.
Adoption? Huh?: Yup, adopted 'child' here. I was adopted at birth. I sometime have a very negative outlook on adoption based on my own experiences. I am not, however, anti-adoption. My nephew is also adopted and, fortunately, being raised in a loving home where he is cherished and wanted. He is having a different experience from the one I had, and I could not be happier. I do believe we need serious adoption reform and a whole lot of societal education about those victimized by a billion-dollar a year industry.
Work: IT/Web Developer & Designer.
Why WordPress?: I LOVE WordPress, not only as a blogging tool but as a CMS. (Google it) I considered hosting this blog on my own site but decided to keep the two separate. I'm loving what WP has created with these blogs. Kudos all around!
Hobbies: Stumbling! Playing with websites, my computer, reading, writing, sex, and storms.

HI! I was searching for info on goldendoodles and saw your blog. I was sucked in over your love of doods and B5 (mmmm John Sheridan…my hero).
I just wanted to say I love your writing and was totally sucked into the drama of talking to your sibs. It is so great that you are recording this monumental time in your life for yourself and others.
I am picking up a rescue g-dood next weekend! I hope you get yours soon!
