Producers
Troy Gilbert (Executive Producer, Writer) is an author and journalist. Between 2010 and 2011, he published Dinner with Tennessee Williams, New Orleans Kitchens and the Cafe Degas Cookbook. During this time he also wrote and published a sailing novel, The Regatta Diaries, under a pseudonym (Harlen Leslie). Troy has written extensively for Sailing World and Cruising World magazines as well as other publications. He has been sent on assignment to cover competitive sailing in Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico and throughout the Gulf Coast. In 2011, Troy was the inaugural Race Committee Chairman for Mardi Gras Race Week and has served on the Board of Directors for the New Orleans Yacht Club and the Friends of West End 501(c)3.
Kevin McCaffrey (e/Prime, Executive Producer) is an award winning documentary film producer, publisher, writer, editor, and oral historian with a long history of both commercial and volunteer service. McCaffrey owns e/Prime Media LLC, specializing in research and documentaries relating to culture, history, environment and design in Louisiana and around the rim of the Gulf of Mexico. e/Prime has done research work for the State of Louisiana, produced video for such disparate clients as The Historic New Orleans Collection, Galatoire’s Restaurant and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. His interest in foodways led him to the James Beard Awards when he was one of three finalists in broadcast media for We Live To Eat: New Orleans’ Love Affair With Food. It also produced its own documentary for television: A Common Pot: Creole Cooking on Cane River, a study of Creole Cuisine and Celebrating Tradition and 100 Years of Galatoire’s Restaurant. e/Prime published The Incomplete, Selectively Quirky, Year By Year Prime Facts Edition of the History of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. (ISBN 0-9766154-0-1) Kevin is currently wrapping up a program on the current culture of food traditions in Acadiana. He is also a J/24 sailor and a member of the New Orleans Yacht Club.
