There is a way that seems right to a man but its end is the way of death. For in Adam all die. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, so death spread to all men, because all sinned. But we preach Christ crucified! Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. Jesus Christ came in the flesh. Jesus Christ was crucified to pay for sins. For the wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust in order that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our sins, according to the riches of His grace. For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. This Jesus God raised up again we are all witnesses. Whoever believes may in Him have eternal life. He who believes in Him is not judged. He who does not believe has been judged already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand. He who believes in the Son has eternal life but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life but the wrath of God abides on him. Jesus said, “Truly, truly I say to you, he who hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and does not come into judgment but has passed out of death into life.”
