New Age-ism is a lie. “Follow your inner compass, you are god, all is god, discover your own divinity…” The truth is there is only one God, and it is not us. I am the Lord, and there is no other; besides Me there is no God. Is. 45:5.
Humanism is a lie. “Evolve to your full potential…Man is the center of the universe, the highest of all beings, the final authority….Gazillions of years of evolution made you…” The truth is, man is a creation of God. Man is not the highest being or the final authority. God is. That means we are answerable to God. He wrote the rules and we broke them all in rebellion against God. This is sin against God. He is God, but man makes himself out to be god. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Gen.1:1. I am the Lord your God, you shall have no other gods before Me. Ex. 20:2-3.
Materialism is a lie. This is Naturalism. “He who dies with the most toys wins….What you see is what you get….it’s a material world…Imagine there’s no heaven it’s easy if you try no hell below us above us only sky…” The truth is, your soul is real. Heaven and hell are real. Judgment day is real. Behold, all souls are mine…The soul who sins will die. Ez.18:4. For what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? What can a man give in exchange for his soul? Matt.16:26. And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years to come; take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry.” But God said to him, “You fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?” Luke 12:19-20.
Universalism is a lie. “All faiths are one…All paths lead to heaven…All roads lead to God.” The truth is, there is only one way to God; and that is by God’s grace, through repentance and faith in the death of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross, to pay for our sins. Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.” John 14:6.
Relativism is a lie. This is the core of Postmodernism. “Truth is fluid, truth is relative…You determine your own truth…Truth claims are arrogant…” The truth is (pun intended) that truth is real, it is fixed, it is knowable. Truth applies to all of us, equally. Truth exists whether we choose to acknowledge it. God’s Word is truth. Jesus is the truth. “I am…the truth” John 14:6.
Globalism is a lie. “Earth is our world…we rule the world…we humans can create world peace…government and religious leaders will save the world.” The truth is, Jesus Christ is ruler of all things. At the Son of Man coming in power and great glory, He will judge the world in righteousness. But the present heavens and earth by His word are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.1Pe.3:7.
The truth is every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Amen.
