On this journey back to you

Sitting at the table, talking to God, I just couldn’t avoid saying out loud, “Why do I always have to get tough jobs?”. Immediately my daughter replied, “Mommy that’s because you are a tough woman, and tough women get tough jobs!”

I’ll pray for you

I’ll accept you

I’ll hold you tight

I’ll hold your hand

I’ll listen

I’ll laugh with you

I’ll wipe your tears

I’ll comfort you

I’ll forgive you

Long time ago

The Lord put on my way

A special caring person

What I call a stubborn friend

Along she came one day

When I had decided to give up

Tossed away my bag of tissues

And gave me a big hug

She dragged me to the hospital

To seek immediate help

Not knowing it was she

The angel God had sent

I thank the Lord in heaven

For stubborn friends like mine

They really make a difference

In other people’s lives

And now we laugh and joke

about all we’ve been through

We share a cup of coffee

And a few cream filled doughnuts too!

Walking in the evening

breathing the air so sweet

comes before my eyes

the sight of a garden

planted masterfully

Curiously I wondered who

the artist gardener could be

to my surprise a man in the garden

suddenly I reached to see

leaning on his walker

his back almost bent

ninety painful degrees

That very moment I knew

with certainty it was him

for he was wearing gloves

and rubber boots on his feet

carefully inspecting flowers

meticulously pulling out

the growing weeds

Oh! This lovely garden

what a glorious view to miss

graciously kept by a gardener

with his back almost bent

ninety painful degrees!

Oh! What a great life lesson

this evening I have received

That no matter our situation

we can truly great things achieve!
