Gary C. Busha’s work has appeared in a few noteworthy magazines and journals, including The Writer’s Almanac.

Originally from Oshkosh, WI, but now living in Sturtevant, WI, Gary C. Busha is a long time Wisconsin editor and publisher. Educated at UW-Oshkosh (BA) and UW-Eau Claire (MA). He taught English at University of Wisconsin-Parkside and at Gateway Technical College in Racine and Kenosha, WI.

He has been published in many small press journals and magazines, including Poetry Now, The Wisconsin Academy Review, Abraxas, and Wisconsin Poets Calendar. His poem “Ham and Cheese on Rye,” was read twice on National Public Radio by Garrison Keillor and the “Writer’s Almanac.”

Gary has published several short stories. His “Putting in the Dock” was anthologized in Cabin Bookshelf’s Wisconsin Seasons and the story was read by Jim Fleming on Wisconsin Public Radio’s “Chapter a Day.”

Through his Wolfsong Publications, he has published over a dozen chapbooks, among them several Wisconsin poets, including Richard Roe, Michael Koehler, Dave Etter (from Illinois) and Douglas Flaherty.
