MISSION STATEMENT: Friends of Echo Park Library (FOEPL) exists to strengthen and enrich the Echo Park community by supporting the Echo Park Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library and its culturally vital programs. We champion lifelong learning, community engagement, and inclusive access to information and the arts by fostering educational programs, preserving and promoting the Philippine Heritage Collection, and nurturing community dialogue through initiatives such as the Carlos Bulosan Book Club. Rooted in a commitment to celebrate diverse voices, foster cross-cultural understanding, and enhance public resources, we work to make the library a vibrant hub of culture, history, sustainability, and shared discovery for all.
