about me

carview.php?tsp= My name is Amy; I muse on and explore life from the vantages of my fifth decade (good golly molly) and a smallish southernish city in the USofA where I live with my sweet husband and two daughters.

Beyond this foray into the world of public private writings, other things that consume my time are (in no particular order) reading, running herd on my veggie garden, riding my bike and occasionally running, and trying to remember to seek balance between self and the immersion of motherhood.

I believe in a lifestyle of mindful consumption and often manage to walk that walk. I believe I can be a better person than I am and occasionally put some effort into movement in that direction. I don’t particularly believe in fate, or a grand plan; my religious views are in a state of evolution through examination.

I value honesty to a degree that sometimes runs me into difficulty. I try hard not to lie to myself, and seldom to those around me.

By all means let me know what you’ve read, and what you like. Public comments are lovely; if you’re too shy I’d still love to hear, so feel free to write me privately here.

One response to “about me

  1. Amy, thank you for your kindness towards my daughters. They are wonderful people, whom I would love to know even if I wasn’t their father. The world is a better place because they are in it. I know that your words and prayers mean a lot to them. Again, thank you.

    Sincerely,
    Wayne
