Re-imagining the Future of
Structural Engineering
We are innovating structural design by focusing our research on the mechanics and design of slender large-span shells, membranes, and elastic rod networks under extreme loading and during construction. Our work involves shape generation and analysis approaches for innovative lightweight structural systems that enable a resilient and sustainable built environment.
We advance theoretical and computational methods to predict and design the properties, stability, and failure of these systems. If you are interested in working with us, please contact Professor Sigrid Adriaenssens at sadriaen(at)princeton.edu and include your CV and transcript well in advance of application deadlines.
