Votre organisation est invité à présenter des candidatures pour le Prix UNESCO de l’éducation pour la paix qui sera décerné pour la vingt-quatrième fois en 2006. Le prix, attribué tous les deux ans à partir de 2006, a pour but de promouvoir les actions visant à élever dans l’esprit des hommes les défenses de la paix, en récompensant une activité particulièrement remarquable de nature à sensibiliser l’opinion publique et à mobiliser la conscience de l’humanité en faveur de la paix, conformément à l’Acte constitutif de l’UNESCO et à la Charte des Nations Unies. Suite à une révision du Règlement général du prix, désormais ” toutes les personnes et les organisations de la société civile qui travaillent dans la perspective de la pensée et de la culture de paix dans le monde et qui sont considérées aptes ” peuvent également présenter une candidature au Prix. The aim of the Prize, awarded every two years starting from 2006, is to promote all forms of action designed to “construct the defences of peace in the minds of men” by rewarding a particularly outstanding example of activity designed to alert public opinion and mobilize the conscience of humanity in the cause of peace, in conformity with UNESCO’s Constitution and the United Nations Charter.
