International Society For Endangered Cats

Our Mission: To aid in the wild conservation and captive preservation of endangered and threatened small wild cat species though education, scientific observation and support for captive breeding of critically endangered species.

There are 37 species of wild cat in the world today. Most people are aware of the big five – tiger, lion, leopard, jaguar and cheetah. Many are familiar with the medium felines – snow leopard and cougar, or mountain lion.

Our job is to make the world aware of the the remaining 30 small wild cat species, from the world’s smallest wild cat – a 2 pound beauty – to the 50 lb clouded leopard.

The International Society for Endangered Cats ISEC) Canada was incorporated as a federally registered, tax charitable non-profit organization in Canada in 1990. We are based in Calgary, Alberta. None of the directors or other personnel involved receives a salary – we are a totally volunteer organization. This allows us to spend all profits from donations, memberships and product sales directly on wild cat conservation programs.

Our programs support scientific field research on the smallest cats, and educate people the world over about their plight. Wild cats don’t have nine lives, and they need your help.
