Last message from me before the convention starts tomorrow afternoon! Wow! I can't believe that the time has finally arrived!
For those interested, there is a meet and greet at 4.30pm in the bar, and then after dinner at 7pm is the Official Opening, kicking everything off.
More information on goings on at the con including a gaming tournament and the program is available here: https://fandomedia.org or, you can call me: 0439354992.

Anyone wanting a last minute dealer's table by all means email me or ring me.
Well we're down to the last loop of everything. I'm finishing badges and ironing out last minute program glitches, publicising any chance I get, and looking forward to the event day by day!
Most of you whom are on panels as part of the program will have received an email with your schedule - if you haven't received yours yet, never fear, its on its way :)
The tickets for the Guest of Honour dinner at Fuché restaurant on Thursday September 28th have been selling well - there are still spaces left if you are interested, I promise stupendous food and unbeatable company :)
I also have to announce that Crumpler Bags Perth have been very generous in sponsoring the convention! Check out their rather cool, and unique website: www.crumpler.com.au! I think their stuff is fantastic, and they're obviously a heart and soul business, they believe in word of mouth business - its worked very well for them, and thus does it speak well of their product.
Enough pimpage, if you would like to volunteer to help out for an hour here and there please let me know - I'm not making any formal list or roster, but I will note who has offered to help here and there - every little bit counts, and helps out and is appreciated, it makes much less work for just a couple of people - more fun for everyone at the con!
Please contact me if you have any questions or queries about the event - its really shaping up to be just as good as last year - I hope! I'm contactable on email: transcendancing@gmail.com or my mobile: 0439354992.
Wow - 2 weeks away!!! I can scarcely believe it!! I'm so excited and cannot wait - everything is falling nicely into place, and is staying organised (just the way I like it), but now, some information!
If you've bought a membership can you please comment or email me (transcendancing@gmail.com) with your preferred Name Badge name, so I can pre make it before the convention? I need this by COB Wednesday, otherwise it will be the name on your reciept.
If you haven't yet bought a membership, but think I should pre-make a badge for you too - comment or email :) Anything is possible ;)
Day membership prices have been finalised:
Friday night only: $20 Saturday or Sunday: $35
There are still places available at the Guest of Honour dinner on Thursday 28th of September, about 10 (ish) at this stage.
If you would like to book (and/or pay for) your space at the dinner, please email or comment :) It's shaping up to be a fabulous night, excellent company and superb food.
Lastly, I've had a few people ask about Hucksters tables, these are available for $10 per day on the Saturday and Sunday - again, email or comment if you're interested.
Emails to panellists about the things you're speaking on will be going out over the next couple of days.
Elaine has a new website for news and updates on her writing, releases and appearances!
The new website can be found at: www.laneycairo.com
Congratulations also to Elaine on a successful launch of her new novel 'Undercover Blues' yesterday afternoon!
Memberships for Fandomedia where you will be able to catch up with Elain, Lyn and Marianne as my Guests of Honour are still available either from myself or from Fantastic Planet.
Scheduled: Friday 29th September, Opening set for 7pm. The con will run through till Sunday evening 1st October.
Cost: $55 standard full, $50 concession/student full membership. Day memberships will be availble, but have yet to be finalised.
Venue: The Emerald Hotel (Mount St, Perth City).
Leading on from that, if you wish to have a dealer's table, please comment or email me, or if you are interested in volunteering for the registration desk / other small things.
There will be a launch for laney_cairo's new novel Undercover Blues on Sunday, August 13th, at 3pm.
The launch will be at Fantastic Planet bookshop, shop 8, Shafto Lane, Perth. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are putting on an afternoon tea, so if you're planning on attending, drop the Sisters an email at o.p.i.perth@hotmail.com, and Mother Gretta will make sure there are enough scones to go around.
I am presently looking for interest from those whom would be able to and willing to speak/present/discuss/workshop the following things.
If you're interested in the idea, let me know and I'll give you more information on the premise, at which point I'll also welcome any suggestions to polish and refine the panel.
The panels in question:
Mystical Space - how our view of and exploration of space has become mystical in nature Searching for the 'One' - true love, its existance, the search Ambition - climbing to the top, how, sacrifice - who/what Wanderlust - what is the attraction? Hunger for Truth - our desire to know the truth of things, how much is hidden - why? Phat Phantasy Trilogies - the ones we hate to love, the ones we love to hate Empowering Hunger - what do you hunger for, does creation require hunger to be successful?
I'm also looking for a specific panel premise on 'Food' and 'Addictions'.
There are still some gaps in the program, so if people have ideas please feel free to pass them along now.
Once I've taken people's interest, and emailed other prospective panellists, I'll send out the draft program.
I said I would post details of this event on mine and the Fandomedia LJ, apologies to those whom get it twice, still - it looks like lots of fun! All queries can be made to Satima via: satimafn at optusnet dot com dot au.

Help keep the scene alive between cons by favouring us with your presence:-) and it would be great if those of you with blogs and live journals would include the above in your ramblings.
This is following a meeting with my two WA guests. This is very preliminary, barely drafted however the ideas are there, and more would be appreciated, comment and refinement would be appreciated. Names have for the moment been removed.
The programming meeting will still take place on Sunday 16th July at The Moon Cafe, William St Northbridge from 12pm.
