Larry Johnson is, simply, an entitled punk. What’s hilarious is, he currently boasts about “[breaking] records for the Chiefs” on his twitter account, when his piss-poor attitude during his weak stint in the NFL clearly illustrated that he hated Kansas City, the Chiefs organization, his teammates, and every fan who unfortunately supported him.
But let’s face reality – without the Chiefs world-class offensive line during those years, ol’ “Pampers” wouldn’t have had the running lanes to achieve the success he boasts about with a club he couldn’t stand being a part of.
Instead of spitting drinks and waving Glocks in the faces of the classy selection of women with which he chose to cavort during his “glory years” (cough, cough), ol’ “Diaper Boy” should have focused more on working together with his coaches and teammates on producing some measurable level of success. Instead, Chiefs fans were blessed with another waste of a pick spent in the first round.
Now, ol’ “Huggies” touts himself in the same manner upon which most criminals proclaim after a few years in the slammer – suddenly he’s a righteous believer in some version of a supernatural presence and because of this belief, his mind is more clear than yours, his path in life is more special than yours, and he certainly operates on a higher level of wisdom than you ever will. So, he never really learned from his laughably immature sense of entitlement and the over-inflated, abnormal ego he crafted for himself. He merely shifted his self-importance from football to religion.
I’m absolutely thrilled that this punk never rose above Priest Holmes in career rushing stats. So, too, it’ll be a great day for Chiefs fans when we no longer have a head case topping the single season rushing list. This punk never wanted to be in KC and only affiliates himself with the Chiefs organization when it suits him to be recognized by “[breaking] records for the Chiefs”.
Dick Vermiel knew exactly who Larry Johnson was. You don’t get to be a head coach with Vermiel’s resumé and not know how to assess your players. Ol’ “Luvs” Johnson got called out by a legend and he took it precisely how someone wearing diapers would be expected to. Vermiel knew it then, as we all know it now – Larry Johnson hasn’t the personal development, nor the maturity, nor the fortitude to remove his diapers – and he never will.
