Hello! Welcome!

My name is Sierra White and I am the Founder of Ezer Rising (a ministry that seeks to free women from the chains of patriarchy and abuse).

I am a passionate about a lot of things but I am super passionate about seeing women walk in their identity as daughters of God and bringing freedom and healing to victims of sexual abuse. I am also passionate about helping Christians realize they can enjoy life and follow God at the same time without being dragged by the weight of religiosity.

I am really glad you are here and I hope that what you read here does (at least) one of three things:

1. Encourages you
2. Motivates you
3. Challenges you

I write about a variety of subjects – one day it could be on women’s equality or abuse, the next week it could be a simple word of hope or encouragement, and often times I write about things that are off the evangelical mainstream path.

A few years ago I was challenged in my faith. I was challenged to begin reading the Bible differently, to truly believe God is as GOOD and AMAZING as He says He is, and to fully trust in the leading of the Holy Spirit. I have had to take off my American lens and put on new glasses that have allowed me to read the Bible in a way that has opened it up to me and has made me draw closer to God and truly believe in who He says that He is – a good, good God. My beliefs have changed, pretty drastically, in many different areas and I hope that I can use this blog as a place to share with you what Holy Spirit is sharing with me.

I hope to draw you into a deeper understanding of Christ and help you shed religion that puts God in a box and limits people based on race, gender, sexuality, age, etc.

I invite you to join me on this journey of shedding religious tradition that bears no fruit, hinders the spreading of the Gospel, and limits God. Let’s explore the depths of the Spirit of God – seeking truth, freedom, and healing.
