This is such a great album. Fans of Blotted Science will feel right at home here. <3
A must-have for any fan of metal/jazz fusion. I'll be jamming to this for the rest of my life for sure! I think you should too ;)
The highs this album takes you on must be experienced. Bouncy, driving, complex rhythms alongside moments of stillness to provide chances for introspection/reflection.
By far one of the most engaging and intricate albums I have ever heard! :D
Favorite track: Deeply Woven.
Exivious offers everything you expect from a prog metal album, and so much more. They definitely set themselves apart in the genre.
Favorite track: Open.
Season of Mist is proud to present ‘Liminal’, the second album from the instrumental prog/fusion metal band EXIVIOUS. Featuring current and former members of DODECAHEDRON, CYNIC, PESTILENCE and more, EXIVIOUS' music is as progressive and nuanced as its members' histories suggest. The band's songs are lush and beautiful, flowing gracefully from complex arrangements to poignant moments of restraint. Melodic guitar work steps to the forefront, steering through soaring leads and the captivating pulse of a world-class rhythm section. As songs such as "Entrust", "Alphaform", "Deeply Woven", and "Immanent" illustrate, EXIVIOUS are a progressive and dynamic force to be reckoned with.

This is a "classic" EP in the progressive metal/rock scene (per usual with Plini lol). I come back to Plini's works often to "scratch that itch." As Sincerely would say, this is good stuff! :)
If you like guitar-centric instrumental music at all, then pick up as much Plini as you can, listen, "drift away" or "focus" and enjoy for years to come! :D
