Reckless-without caution
From the book Learning to be a Woman: “A woman is not born a woman. Nor does she become one when she marries a mona, bears a child and does theri dirty linen, not even when she joins a woman’s liberation movement. A woman becomes a woman when she becomes what God wants her to be.”
This chapter is about abandoning yourself, your earthly desires to follow God. ruth left her family, her home, her false godsand any obvious chance of getting married again. She devoted to God, not knowing the outcome. One thing Ruth had to do to follow God…change her circle. 1 Cor 15:33 Do not be decieved. Bad company corrupts good morals.
Here is a quote from A.W. Tozer: “A whole generation of Christians has come up believing that it is posible to ‘accept’ Christ without forsaking the world.”
What does it mean to you to abandon who you are, abandon the world, to become who He wants you to be?
Collasians 2:10 and in him you are made full, who is the head of all principality and power. Are you complete in Him?
What do you think of this statement?: “ANY WOMAN WHO DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THAT SHE IS COMPLETE IN JESUS IS SUSCEPTIBLE TO IDOLATRY” Put a different way, idolatry is when we put something in God’s place.
What is the difference between religion and a relationship with God?
Read this and think about how our society tells us we will be fulfilled by marriage or a boyfriend: ” You were not created to complete anaother, but to complement. Completion is Jesus’ responsibility and complementing is a woman’s privilege. A woman not complete in Jesus will be a drain on her husband. Such a woman will expect her husband to fill the gap that only Jesus can fill.”
Are you afraid to be without someone? To not find your prince charming? Let Jesus take this role! Trust me, He is the most romantic guy EVER..and he is a great listener! 🙂
