How This Site Works (If you are new to the site, please read this):
This site comes 100% from user participation, but it is moderated to make sure the junk stays off. It takes a few steps to get started, but that is what keeps this a high-quality site. If you are new and WANT TO ADD/EDIT CONTENT you will need to follow the steps below. If you just want to BROWSE the content you don't need to login or be a member, everything is public.
1) Register. You will need to register then send us an email to prove you are human and not a really smart bot. So please register, then reply to the registration email and someone will approve you within 2 days (usually much faster). Once approved you will get an email with your password. Feel free to email us if you don't hear back.
2) Add Sifu Profile. Make sure you don't already have a profile in the database. If not, then you will then need to add yourself (assuming you are a Sifu) or your teacher(s) into the database. Please note there are two places you can add info on yourself: a) the user profile b) the SIFU database. You want to make sure all the info you want to be known is in the second. Very few people look at your user profile. Everyone looks at the Sifu database profiles. Once you add yourself to the Sifu database and hit "Save" the moderators will be notified. We will review the information you have submitted over the next couple days and then publish it to the site. No changes you make on the site will ever appear immediately - all of it needs to be reviewed by a human first. That takes anywhere from an hour to 2 days. So please, do not add yourself 13 times wondering why it is not working - just look for an email saying your addition has been received and wait for us to approve it. If you waited more than 2 days feel free to contact us - just reply to one of the registration emails you get. We do not publish the admin email on the site in order to keep spammers away, but you can email us at support(at)this-domain-name.com.
3) Add a School or other info. After you have your Sifu profile approved you can then add your school, an article, students of yours, or etc and link it back to your Sifu Profile. Any edits to existing content or new content you add will go into moderation before becoming visible.
Again, any EDITS or NEW CONTENT has to be moderated by a human volunteer and that takes 1-2 days. So... Hopefully, this makes sense. Please, register yourself and get started! We'd live to have you help keep everything on the site up to date!
