Why Right Bible Interpretation is so important?

In John’s 1st chapter Jesus is introduced as the Word of God. The Word is God Himself. But, when He was on the Earth (Matthew 4), Satan tempted Jesus pointing to the Scriptures along with the temptations. The devil wanted to picture those temptations as legitimate by quoting the Scriptures out of context. Jesus counter-attacked the devil with Scripture again. What’s the difference? Though Jesus is fully Divine, He is fully Human on the Earth before His Death and Resurrection. He allowed Himself to be tempted without giving in. Jesus understood the Scriptures in their context and filled His Mind with the truth. Today, the devil constantly offers the same temptation of using Scriptures out of context. For many of us, wrong decisions kept recurring because of mistaken beliefs about the Word of God. Only when we are equipped with God’s Word, we combat the devil’s strategies well!
