These are drawing that my daughter did. The first one was quite a few years ago now, people were just circles, now they have legs, arms, eyes, cheeks, hair etc. It took lots of practice and lots of imagination.

I learned how to make a clay pot on the wheel. I also learned that the proper terminology for this is “throwing a pot”. It was not an easy or simple task but I had a great student who showed me how to do it and who had great patience when I was struggling to get it. She was very good at giving explanations, tips and tricks and visual examples. It was a great experience.
I was in the middle of making cookies and my spatula decided to break. I was certainly not impressed but luckily the cookies still turned out delicious!
This picture was taken on one of our family fishing trips. Fishing, like teaching, we will have days where you get skunked and come home with nothing or come home after a long day of teaching where you don’t think you were able to connect the students with the material. Other days you come home with the largest Spring of the season or your students had a great day and excelled amazingly. You never know what kind of day you are going to have when you head out, but as fisherwomen/teachers you never miss a day and you always keep striving for a that big catch.
