January garden
evergreens
cedar and forsythia
by the garage
and birch tree
near my study window
all in light
forsythia in sun
on a winter day
thoughts of spring
beautiful too
spruce tree branches
covered with snow
so cold
yet from
this ground
daffodils
and tulips
will grow
again
January 2015
more beautiful
every year
January light
after the holidays
spring flowers for sale
plants and flowers
for winter windows
and tables
be an evergreen
in winter with
a beauty grown
through time
and weather
with new growth
in spring
evergreens and sky
is blue – some snow
on branches
yet more green today
I think of snowdrops
in spring
reading haiku
the generous new growth
of evergreens
