Hi, Julie. Saw your intro on the Philly Adoptee Rights group. I’m really intrigued by your story and so sad that your father denied you. My husband learned just two years ago that he was adopted as an infant. His parents lied to him over the years each time he asked if he were adopted. Again, denial. Seems to be a recurring theme for adoptees, doesn’t it?

I’m really looking forward to meeting you in Philly. Jeff and I work very hard in NY State (Jeff more than I, right now) to lobby our senators for the passage of the Adoptee Bill of Rights. Meeting with others this summer should be informative and healing.

I’m also intrigued by your work! I plan to spend more time at your blog finding out about this. I’m an animation fiend! I work with first-year college students full time, and I teach college writing to adult students. I use animation and graphic novels extensively. Can’t wait to find out more about the ins and outs of animation.
