July 30, 2013 — wenchhandleSmoothies have become a favorite and a necessity to me. Greek Gods Vanilla Honey Yogurt I recently discovered, and Oh boy, that is a food that will make my eyes roll back in my head. Reminds me of a delicious cup of Vanilla Pudding. It was said in Cosmo Magazine that Greek Yogurt burns fat due to the large amounts of protein it provides. It also keeps my stomach at rest and while adding my favorite fruits, veggies and juices with ice to the blender, I am able to give my body what it needs without much thought. So each morning I start my day with a Smoothie.
Smoothies have slowed down the affects of hot flashes, given my skin and nails much need nutrients and eased off stomach pains from a fast pace diet. Below is a recipe a for a delicious drink.
1 Cup Greek Yogurt
2 Bananas
1 Cup of Frozen Pineapple
1 Tea Spoon Sugared Ginger
1/2 Cup of Orange Juice
1 Tray of Ice
Blend ingredients together till smooth and pour into your favorite tall glass with a straw. Share the rest with a friend or pour into Popsicle molds and place in the freezer to enjoy the rest later.

Blood Sugar Control
November 14, 2012 — wenchhandleThe breakdown of carbohydrates into glucose can be slowed by eating fiber rich carbohydrates such as corn, beans, nuts, avacados, fruit, oatmeal, and raw vegetables. By eating these fiber rich foods, glucose is released gradually into the bloodstream and blood-sugar levels will not rise too quickly.
