Great blog you have here! Is there any chance of you uploading a few pictures of your Mark McNairy San Salvador Burro boots? I would love to see what they look like with a pair of chinos before I make a purchase. Unfortunately I can’t seem to find a good photograph of them on anywhere.
Thanks,
Duncan
Hey Duncan,
I’m actually going to be traveling this weekend and won’t have a chance to snap a photo like you asked. But I’ll refer you to a shot of Angelo from Class Act wearing his with chinos… Hope this helps: https://www.flickr.com/photos/eyefivestyle/6005441253/
Thanks!
Happy to have found someone who loves the LLBEAN Lounger- Buckle-Hunting Shoe as much as I love it.
Happy to have seen it brought out of retirement.
UNhappy to find the new edition emblazoned with”Bean Boot” in 1st grader print on the back and UNhappy that the buckle is inexplicably gold-colored and the sole seems to be very ridgid like the rain boot they manufacture instead of that glorious, pliable hunting shoe sole. My heel slips up and down relentlessly even when I crank down the straps as far as they’ll crank.
Can you shed any light on Bean’s reasons for doing that which makes me unhappy? lol Bean’s boots need the “technical” air — not to mention coolness — of the old Maine Hunting Shoe label and that ever so quiet softer sole of the old style.
New campaign?
Sincerely disappointed,
m
I didn’t intend the “lol”. I wrote LL and autocorrect got me. Didn’t proof very well. It’s no lol matter
