Access Services
The Access Services Department is responsible for staffing the Information Services Desk (IS Desk) and providing our library users with assistance accessing information and materials.
Our services include: checking in/out materials, renewing materials, locating materials/information through our resources, providing directional information, explaining policies/procedures, creating/updating library accounts, and processing document delivery (interlibrary loan and photocopy services) requests.
Borrow and Renew Materials DML accounts to borrow physical materials are automatically created/updated weekly for all Georgetown and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital (MGUH) affiliates. To borrow a physical item such as a print book or anatomical model from DML present your Georgetown GOCard or MGUH ID to the staff member at the time of checkout.
