Whenever i look for recipes, i took at various different ones and coe up withmy own.. The next time i cook the same dish, i forget what i finally came up with and try to do it all over again.
Milagukuzhambu
This is such a comforst food for me... Typical tambramfaree.
1) soak a generous pinch of tamarind in water.
2)dry roast and grind-- channadal, coriander seeds, lots of pepper, jeera, curry leaves, urad dal, asoefotida 3)fry mustard, curry leaves,fennel, sundakai
4) pour tamarind water- add sambar powder, turmeric powder, salt, asoefotida.
5) add the ground powder
6) let it boil for 5 min- add some rice powder paste if needed to thicken..
Yumm milagu kozhambu ready...
Shrimp fry
1)Marinate shrimp with- chili powder, turmericpowder, dhaniyapowder,sombu podi,salt,lemon juice, pepper
2)grind- coconut, chili, sombu, jeera,pepper
3)fry- onions,curry leaves, garlic, jeera, tomato
4)add ground paste and saute till raw smell goes away.add salt
5) add marinated shrimp and mix well.
6) cover and cook until shrimp is done..
7) spray oil on the sides and fry for 2 min
8) garnish with coriander leaves
Meen kuzhambu
1) marinate fish with turmeric and salt
2)soak tamarind in water
3)fry and grind- onion( a little),garlic, coconut, sombu,jeera
4) fry - small onion, curry leaves, mustard, fenugreek, garlic, tomato
5) add chili powder, turmeric powder, dhaniya podi, sombu podi
6) add the ground onion paste and saute till raw smell goes out
7)add tamarind water and salt.
8) boil for 10 min or so to let the mixture thicken 9)add the fish and boil for 5 min . Garnish with cilantro ..
