More

TODAY’S VERSE
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.
Ephesians 3:20 (NIV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
God is so much more than we believe He is. We barely begin to know anything about His infinite power, wisdom, and love. Perhaps that is why we don’t dream big dreams for God. He has promised that He can do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, and yet we live a life without the miraculous. We don’t honestly know Him, trust Him, or believe Him, so we don’t ask. We need to ask God to help us comprehend who He is and begin to imagine doing great things for God. He created us to be His ambassadors of dreams. He works through our visions, hopes, and aspirations. He longs for us to dream with Him, to create through Him, and to partner in being change agents in this world. Paul put it this way, “I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Today, ask God to strengthen you with His power and fill you with His fullness so you will ask Him for the immeasurable and trust Him to do more than you can ever imagine.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, what immeasurable mighty dreams do You have for my life? What is it that You want me to trust You for? Strengthen me, Lord, with Your power. Fill me with Your fullness. Help me believe You for great things.

This Is Love

TODAY’S VERSE
Your unfailing love, O LORD, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. – How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings. – Pour out your unfailing love on those who love you.
Psalms 35:5, 7, 10 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
What was it that David knew about God? If nothing else, David knew that God loved him. Three times in this very short chapter, David praises God for His magnificent love. It was a vast and unfailing love. It was a precious love, a place of refuge, and shelter. It was a love that God would generously pour out upon all those who loved Him. And this same God, whom David writes about, loves you. How did David know about this love? He experienced it. He spent time with God, worshipping Him and trusting in Him for everything. God invites you to do the same. Today, sit in the presence of His love. Bask in it. Soak it in. Breathe deeply and sense His love filling your very being. His love is unfailing, it is vast, and today it is yours to behold.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, thank You for Your love for me. It is unfailing and precious. Help me know Your love for me in all its fullness.

God Gives Me Strength

TODAY’S VERSE
He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:29-31 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
We live in a stressful world. Physical labor is tiring, but what really weakens me is the stress of everyday living. Have you ever felt that way? You come home and your energy is gone? You are not sure which way is up? You seem overwhelmed and start to fear and doubt. Stress can drop you to your knees. Financial, emotional, relational, and physical stress weakens your body, soul, and spirit. The good news is that God has given you everything you need to renew yourself and keep going. Isaiah says that God gives power and strength. You will find this when you trust in the Lord. When you put your life into His hand, He is more than able to give you all the strength you will need. When you trust in Him, He will renew your strength. God promises that you will be able to run and yet not get weary. You will walk and not faint. God is faithful, loving and all powerful, He will give you strength.     

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, You know how weary I can get. You know how hard it is to keep going. I cry out to You today and ask You to give me all the strength I need to combat the stress I experience. Give me all the power I need to overcome the obstacles I face. Please give me all the faith I need to trust You with the details of my life. Thank You, Lord, for Your wonderful provision.

More Than Conquerors

TODAY’S VERSE
In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Romans 8:37 (NIV)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
For most of us, it is hard to get our heads around the meaning of conqueror. Most of us know little about the word. Sure, we win the occasional argument, get our proposal passed, and even get our children to listen to what we say, but that is far from being a vanquisher of all that comes against us. Paul knew that we would be in a Spiritual battle. He knew that we would face life’s issues point-blank, and our flesh, the world, and the Devil would do everything they could to discourage and defeat us. That is why the Spirit of God had him write that even in “trouble, hardship, persecution, famine, nakedness, danger or sword” we are more than conquerors. Not just conquerors, more than conquerors. The best way I have heard it described was by Rick Renner in his book, “365 Days of Power”. He writes, “I boldly declare that in Jesus Christ, I am a conqueror who is utmost, paramount, foremost, first-rate, first-class and top-notch; greater, higher, and better than; superior to; preeminent, dominant, incomparable; more than a match for; unsurpassed, unequaled, and unrivaled by any challenge that would ever try to come against me! I declare this in Jesus’ name!” Today, let us believe the same about ourselves.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Thank You, Lord, that You have given me power, in the Holy Spirit, to overcome adversity, discouragement, and every Spiritual attack that besets me. Help me take my eyes off my past defeats and look to Your love and the power of Your resurrection available to me today. Thank You, Lord, that today I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus my Lord.

Fear Not

TODAY’S VERSE
Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. Isaiah 43:1-2

TODAY’S THOUGHT
It is easy to get overwhelmed with life’s struggles. We begin to worry and lose our focus. We become overwhelmed and reach out in inappropriate ways to relieve the stress we have built up in our minds. Anxiety and worry are like that. Even though the majority of what we worry about will never happen, we obsess over the negative and soon are out of control with fear. But God has a better way. Instead of worry and anxiety, we can choose to trust Him. Isaiah tells us to “fear not” because God has redeemed us and summoned us by name. We do not need to fear because God offers us a deep personal relationship with Him. He promises us that when we “pass through the waters,” He will be with us. God has promised that He will never leave us or forsake us! So today, when you start to worry, when you begin to feel things are out of control, remember that God has not left you. He has not forsaken you. When you feel the pressures of the day building up stress, and you are tempted to give up, remember that He knows you by name; you are His. He has promised that when you go through difficulties, He will be with you.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, help me not to fear. Help me not to worry. Instead, help me to remember that You will never leave me or forsake me. Thank You that You know me by name and that no matter what I go through today, You will be with me.

Do This

TODAY’S VERSE
Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. And do everything with love.
I Corinthians 16:13-14 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
What a “to-do” list! It is an essential list of things to do for our spiritual vitality. What is so exciting is that God would not ask us to do something He will not help us with. This is within our grasp. All we need to do is focus, ask God for His help, and be as diligent as possible. He will guide us. He will give us the strength and power to do what He has asked of us. Today, be on guard against spiritual apathy, attacks, and adversaries. While you are on guard, stand firm on His word and your faith in what He has said and who He is. When trouble comes, remember who God is and what He has asked us to do. Be courageous in your attempt to be strong. Finally, if all else fails, allow Him to work through you and do everything you do today with love! God is good, and He will help you do what He has asked you to do. Simply trust and obey.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, thank You that You will provide all the help and strength I need. Help me to be on my guard and stand firm in my faith. I need Your help to be courageous and strong. Lord, please help me do everything I do today with love. I ask this in the name of Jesus.

Inner Strength

TODAY’S VERSE
I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. – And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. – Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
Ephesians 3:16, 18-19 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
How many times a day could you use strength? Pulled in every direction, we live under a lot of stress. Life can be difficult, and so many times, we feel too weak to do anything about it. Paul knew what weakness was. He knew what struggles and trials were like, and so out of this great empathy, he prayed for the church in Ephesus to have the same thing that got him through each day. He prayed that God would empower each one of the people with inner strength. Not just any inner strength. Not some false hope built on some slogan or specific steps to follow. No, Paul encouraged you and me to build our inner strength by knowing “how wide, how long, how high, and how deep God’s love is.” It is experiencing this great love that makes us complete. Knowing God’s love in a deep and personal way gives us all the fullness of life and power that He has available for us. Today come to God. Ask Him to reveal how truly great His love for you is. As He does, you will experience all the inner strength you need.
                                              
TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, give me the inner strength that comes from understanding Your great love. Help me draw upon all the power You have available for me this day. I pray this in Jesus’ name.

Strength

TODAY’S VERSE

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Strength is a mighty gift from God. With strength, you can have many options. You can have the strength to make it through a tough time. Strength to accomplish a difficult task. Strength to overcome overwhelming circumstances. Strength when all else has failed. Strength to be patient and wait on the Lord. Strength to tear down strongholds. Strength to get through another day. Strength to outlast a temptation. Strength to give it another try. strength to accept grace. Strength to face your deepest fears. Strength to start over. Strength to admit when you’re wrong. Strength to acknowledge your weakness. Strength to trust in God. Today, God has all the strength you need. It’s yours for the asking.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, how I thank You for giving Your people strength. You know my needs. You know where I am weak and where I need Your help. Give me all the strength I need for today. In Jesus’ name.

Comfort And Strength

TODAY’S THOUGHT
God knows exactly what we need to make it in this life. He offers us two indispensable tools for getting us through any of life’s situations. He gives us comfort and strength. Comfort calms us. Comfort gives us hope and encourages our faith. Comfort allows us to trust God for the strength to press on. Strength to help us overcome obstacles. Strength needed for everyday life. Today, may God comfort your heart and mind and give you all the strength you need.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, I pray that You will give me all the comfort and strength I need for this day. In Jesus’ name.
