Thanks for this tutorial. I made two wallets today. I admit to having a little trouble with the card pocket folding, but I think I got it to work correctly. I added a zippered coin pouch instead of the center card pocket. I wrote all of my modifications in this blog post. https://blessingsoverflowing.blogspot.com/2010/11/handmade-wallets.html Thanks again for sharing your tutorial.

Yay–thank you!! Such a great tutorial. I ‘ve never done reverse applique and never “needed” to do it. I just saw a great idea in a catalog and want to try it out but needed to figure out reverse applique. These instructions are great! I’ll be sure to link to you if I get my project done.

these are adorable. my daughter (6) and i made these together. she helped cut the ribbons and lined them up in a pattern. i then sewed one leg to show her how and then she sewed the other (without much help). they turned out so well that we made another pair for a younger sister. whenever the girls wear them people always ask where they came from.

Thank you so much for this. You’ve made it pretty simple to understand. I’m trying reverse applique on a blouse I’m making and I’ll use your technique.

I used cotton lycra and it works a treat and had a good bounce back and doens’t loose its shape.
