This blog started out about seven years ago mainly as a photography how-to blog. I ended up deleting about five years worth of posts and started fresh.
I write about my journey through photography. My life. My feelings. It is more of a public diary for my children to read when I pass so that they might know who their father really is inside.

Hi Dan – your photos are beautiful, and your advice is valuable! I’m learning a lot from you, plus I enjoy seeing views of my home province.
I think It would be easier to look through your archived material if your sidebar included the Category Widget and the Tag widget. (Your Archive Widget doesn’t really tell me much.) The Search Widget would be helpful too.
I also find the very small black type on a black background very had to read, but that is probably just because of my age! I would recommend the WordPress Theme Parament as an excellent option for your blog!
Keep up the great work!

Hi Margie, thank you for the advice. I added the two widgets. I hope they help. About the type, I am getting on in years to the point where I need reading glasses for everything within arms reach. I believe that you can have your browser bump up the size of the font to make it easier to read. Thanks again,
Dan

Hi Dan! I just wanted to stop by an leave a comment here. You have such breathtaking landscape photos! I admire your talent and had to follow your blog. I have great interest in landscape photography but I do not believe I have the appropriate lens. This is partly due to the cost. So until I can afford one, I will admire yours and learn from them. 🙂 Thanks for sharing your visions and talent here on WordPress!!

@onelifethislife, thank you for the very kind words. Landscapes can be taken with almost any lens. Give it a try. I am sure that you will not be disappointed.

So pleased I stumbled across your blog. I lived in Alberta for a few years (I’m from the UK) and miss the scenery – mountains, prairies – so it’s great to re-visit it through your images. I also appreciate your note above about the purpose of your blog and look forward to following your journey.

Hi Caz,
Glad that you found the blog. You wouldn’t be missing Alberta this morning as most of it is under a severe cold weather watch. With a slight wind chill the temperatures are at -40 Celsius. LOL
All the best from western Canada,
Dan
