Dalston Sound began as a document of concert-going in north east London (see Concert Diary 2012-2013), but soon came to focus on album reviews.

In the mid 90s I was a contributor to Resonance magazine; I wrote for The Wire magazine from April 1997 until April 2000, and contributed to The Jazz Mann from 2008 until early 2012.
