The Poetry of D. A. Joy

The writing of a man who aspired to be the Great American Poet.  His heart was three sizes too big; his will to speak out, enough to keep him alive into his 30’s.  He wrote hoping that his words would bring understanding and solidarity to others suffering the same private hell where he found himself every day.  I asked him once, if he could start a tribe, who he would include in it.  His answer, given instantly and with a broad smile, represents the greatness of his soul: “Everyone.”
