Your baby’s growing steadily, gaining about a quarter of a pound since last week, when she was just over a pound. Since she’s almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), that makes a pretty lean figure, but her body is filling out proportionally and she’ll soon put on more baby fat. Your baby’s skin is thin, translucent, and wrinkled, her brain is growing rapidly, and her taste buds are developing. Her lungs are developing “branches” of the respiratory “tree” and cells that produce surfactant, a substance **that helps the air sacs inflate easily.
Note: Every baby develops a little differently — even in the womb. Our information is designed to give you a general idea of your baby’s development.

My friend Ruth called and invite me if we can join celebrating the feest in their place. So we agreed.
Around 3:30 pm we were there on their place. Although this is our first time I have no idea what is Sint Maarten all about but still I am curios to find out how it’s gonna be celebrated.
Just starting to get dark around 6:00 pm Ruth prepared the “lampionnen” means a lamp were the kids gonna carry while they sing house to house. I was surprised because Ruth giving the kids each big bag to carry, so I ask what’s this bag for? “Ruth replied” for their candies, chocolates etc.. and I’m thinking wow this is cool
these are the photos:

https://daibubuli.wordpress.com/2007/11/07/first-photo-of-our-baby/#respondWed, 07 Nov 2007 07:29:44 +0000https://daibubuli.wordpress.com/2007/11/07/first-photo-of-our-baby/I had my first ultrasound yesterday afternoon. We felt of great excitement during the procedure, we heard positive news from the nurse, the development of our baby is normal, the heartbeat, good shaped, well positioned etc..
baby measured 7.73 cm (14 weeks)
I never had ultrasound during my pregnancy of Zian for some reason, but now I realized it is necessary because you can find out how your baby developed inside the uterus, and is it able to identify the main abnormalities that can have a profound effect on the future life and health of the baby.
Now we know the outcome of my first ultrasound and everything are OK, thank you God. I’m proud to tell my family and friends how my baby is doing good so far.

https://daibubuli.wordpress.com/2007/11/01/halloween-history/#commentsThu, 01 Nov 2007 16:37:41 +0000https://daibubuli.wordpress.com/2007/11/01/halloween-history/The modern holiday of Halloween has its origins in the ancient Gaelic festival known as Samhain (pronounced/ˈsË aunʲ/ from the Old Irishsamain). The Festival of Samhain is a celebration of the end of the harvest season in Gaelic culture, and is erroneously[3] regarded as ‘The Celtic New Year’.[2] Traditionally, the festival was a time used by the ancient pagans to take stock of supplies and slaughter livestock for winter stores. The Ancient Gaels believed that on October 31, the boundaries between the worlds of the living and the dead overlapped and the deceased would come back to life and cause havoc such as sickness or damaged crops. The festivals would frequently involve bonfires, where the bones of slaughtered livestock were thrown. Costumes and masks were also worn at the festivals in an attempt to mimic the evil spirits or placate them.[4][5] When the Romans occupied Celtic territory, several Roman traditions were also incorporated into the festivals. Feralia, a day celebrated in late October by the Romans for the passing of the dead as well as a festival which celebrated the Roman Goddess Pomona, the goddess of fruit were incorporated into the celebrations. The symbol of Pomona was an apple, which is a proposed origin for the tradition of bobbing for apples on Halloween.[6] Click for further History

Back home this is one of my favorite dish. I remember when I was young my Mother always telling me to eat the “ampalaya” because it has rich of vitamins like iron, potassium and fiber and good thing I did love it. Whenver I go to a “carenderia” the first dish I will pick is “ginisang ampalaya” not only cheap also taste yummy.
As a mother of my 8 yrs old son. I’m always tolerate him to eat vegetables specialy ampalaya, because I want him to know how vegatebles rich in vitamins and good to our health, and fortunately my son does like it.
It is important how you prepare vegetables, although I like to eat a lots of vegatables but if prepared not good I will refused not to take it.
Living in other side of the world (Netherlands) foods are kinda different compared back home (Philippines) I can say some foods here are instant which is i’m not used to even we live simple life in the (Philippines) my mother always prepared fresh food and it should be cooked well.

Most of the time when they visit home they brought something to surprised us. This time He handed me a small box and when I opened it was little cutey “pink” leather shoes. I’m so surprised and felt happy. He said Mother pick that shoes so I thought they like baby girl as well as Paddy and I. Aside from a shoes He also handed Zian a pair of pajamas, lucky Zian .
I believe each baby is special and a gift from the Lord. We really hope and pray it will be a baby girl this time since we already had Zian. But we can’t choose what’s God given. For whatever reason He is the only one knows. Boy of Girl as long as it’s healthy and normal we would be very happy.
