In the "Lefties Usually Always Lie" book--beginning with the Big Lie in Roe v Wade, we have another one. (We could go back further than Roe, but we would run out of numbers. Just think of Hitler's--or Stalin's--promises.)
...According to 39-year-old William Vermie, he was doing little more than standing on the sidewalk observing ICE agents detain an individual in his Minneapolis neighborhood on January 13th, when he got swept up by officers himself.
He ran straight to ABC News about the incident.
"They read me my rights and asked me if I wanted to answer any questions without a lawyer, and I said no," Vermie claimed in an interview. "And then they said, 'You'll have an opportunity to contact one later.'"...
That's called "LYING BY OMISSION." What did this Lefty Liar omit?
FACT CHECK. This individual was arrested for assaulting a law enforcement officer—a felony and a federal crime. All detainees have the opportunity to communicate with their family and lawyer.Oh. Well.
Never Mind.
Pp. Leo made the correct call here.
... By now it shouldn’t be surprising when Catholic clergy counter-signal President Trump. It happened first when Pope Francis attacked him for wanting to build a border wall in 2016. It happened in December of last year when Leo indirectly rebuked him for his peace plan in Ukraine, which he said would “break apart” the U.S.’s “alliance” with Europe. And it happened again earlier this month when three of the most liberal members of the American Church’s hierarchy pushed back on his foreign policy....
There's a reason that it would 'break apart' the US alliance with Europe: Trump wants to break it up. Europe--especially NATO--has been a major drag on the US; its globalism is stupidity on steroids, and a pain in the ass to boot. So when Trump decided to let Europe defend Europe, it was America First--a good thing.
But there's more!
Those three "liberal" (read: committed Leftists) Cardinals allegedly spoke up after Leo gave them the thumbs up. (Maybe he did; maybe he didn't. Leo ain't telling).
It is too bad that Leo & Co. do not like US foreign policy under Trump. Let us take a moment and weep./sarc
Now let's hear preaching about homosexual conduct (a vice) and artificial birth control (another vice.) You know: Catholic moral imperatives.
Otherwise, please sit down and shut up.
There are rules about this.
Green Bay Packers player Rasheed Walker was arrested at LaGuardia Airport Friday morning after he tried to check a bag that contained a handgun and ammunition, prosecutors said.
The 25-year-old offensive lineman was taken into custody just before 11 a.m. after telling a Delta Air Lines employee that his luggage contained a locked box holding his 9mm Glock pistol, according to a criminal complaint.
Port Authority police were alerted and responded to Terminal C, where they searched his bag and found the firearm and 36 rounds of ammo secured in the locked case....
Obviously, Walker had no malicious intent, or he would not have disclosed the location of the gun.
But that doesn't make any difference to the cops. They have to arrest him.
IN YOUR CHECKED LUGGAGE, DECLARED!!
The new Super of MPS sees a budget bloodbath coming.
.. "I just want to make sure you understand all of the implications of every decision you have to make," said Dr. Brenda Cassellius at Thursday's school board meeting. "I will also be bringing cuts -- deep, deep cuts -- into the district for contracting and central office and across the board."...
Hmmmmm.
The teachers' union--a very obnoxious bunch--is demanding a 2.6% raise, which will cost about $55 million. But the District already faces a $100 million shortfall, and you can be sure that Robin Vos told the Super that the suckers taxpayers are in Full Revolt Mood. If he didn't, he should, especially after the $250 MILLION fraud MPS perpetrated on Milwaukee taxpayers a couple of years ago.
Expect a teachers strike. And if the Super has guts, expect to see strike-breakers, too. That may be the only way to save MPS. If nothing else, a strike by the highest-paid and most-richly-benefitted union in the State will tell you that the Teachers' Union priorities are NOT the children in school.

Renée Fleming has withdrawn from two scheduled May appearances at the Kennedy Center, the latest in a wave of cancellations since President Donald Trump ousted the previous leadership...
There's always Minneapolis, Renee. They haven't burned down their symphony hall---yet.
Trump's plan is working. Deporting millions of illegals (criminals or not) means US citizens will get higher wages. That is already in progress, as overall wages are up about $1,200/year/person.
Another way to learn that? Read the Wailing and Ululations from restaurant trade-pubs.
...In an opinion piece for Restaurant Business posted on Friday, Jonathan Maze pointed to restaurants in the Minneapolis area being shut down off and on amid ICE operations, and how it affects business:
Fewer workers mean restaurants will once again have to compete for employees the only way they can, by paying higher wages. Wages over the next two years are expected to accelerate, according to Oxford Economics, from 3.7% this year to 5.6% by 2027. That won’t just affect restaurants, either. Because these food-producing industries will lose workers, too. And if they have to start competing more aggressively for workers, then that will lead to higher prices for meat or vegetables....
Not stated in that quote: the number of restaurants is going to shrink as the price of materials and labor increases into a price-sensitive market. We are seeing restaurant closings in MKE already, probably due to the fact that 'boutique' places--by design--do not have large customer bases. The next wave of closings will be related to self-deportations and price increases.
The money? It will be going to American citizens!
Certain pro-life (but TDS-afflicted) people will find a way to kvetch about this, too. We don't know how, but they will.
Vice President JD Vance announced on Friday that the Trump administration has executed a “historic expansion” of the Mexico City Policy to block the promotion of abortion abroad.
Vance made the announcement at the 53rd annual March for Life in Washington, DC, marking his second time speaking at the largest annual human rights demonstration in the world. The vice president said the expansion of the Mexico City Policy will now include “blocking every international non-governmental organization that performs or promotes abortion abroad from receiving a dollar of U.S. money.”...

Childers makes a good point.
... Like corporate media, BlueSky’s progressives were uncharacteristically muted about the arrests [of the church invaders in MPLS]. Those who did comment tossed around terms like “authoritarianism” and “perversion of justice.” But that predictable narrative is failing to grip, largely because America watched thousands of peaceful Capitol Hill tourists prosecuted in 2021-2024, while also watching the Summer of Love protestors released without charges— after torching federal buildings and occupying police stations.
It is therefore unsurprising that the majority of Americans remain unmoved by leftists’ predictable complaints about being shoved into police cruisers after raiding churches. It is also truly remarkable how the J6 persecutions have made lefty arrests politically possible. Funny how things work out. At this point, many Americans might even be described as enthusiastic about the latest arrests....
Childers also observed that with three cellphones now in the hands of the Feds, a lot more VERY interesting contacts and contact-timing will be unearthed. Can you spell E-L-L-I-S-O-N?
Heh.
Smith--acting just like Jack Smith--perjured himself.
It's right here, on tape, pointed out by someone who knows.
Yet the LeftyDummies (they all are) crow that THIS IS THE PASSAGE which proves Trump should have been impeached.
Trump 'believed' what he said. Can't be lying if he 'believed' it.
Looks like a lot of pro-life people never heard of Wisconsin. In this State, two SCOWI "justices" were elected based solely on their commitment to allow baby-killing. Nearly 100% of their advertising was about the abortion issue. And it won for them.
But that fact does not prevent pro-lifers from screeching that Trump is a big fat rat.
One has to wonder if some of these pro-lifers are actually anti-Trumpers with a convenient platform.
Trump has made life very difficult for Planned Parenthood (Medicaid funding cut), and he continues to do so with inconvenient probes into their finances. Remember that PP has to pay a lot of money to THEIR lawyers and accountants to defend their position(s.)
Trump has cut off the baby-parts-selling business totally.
Trump is asking questions about Mifepristone approvals from FDA.
Threatening Trump with Not Voting is ill-advised at best, utterly stupid and self-defeating at worst.

The Usual Suspects--SEIU, Democrat Socialist Party, Teachers' Union, and the UAW (!) are pushing for a Big March-Around in Minneapolis today at 4:00 PM.
Temperature will be -10 degrees.
We hope 10,000 of these scumbags turn out. Why?
Frostbite is a bitch.
After only 30 years in business, Berrada Properties managed to become infamous for its continuous failures in managing the upkeep of its rental properties. Perhaps Youssef thinks that Third-World standards should be brought here?
The City of Milwaukee has limited options--that is, the City cannot "fix" the plumbing and heating systems.
But Barrada's bankers must be getting very, very, nervous, because the City--after the usual courtroom stuff--can issue condemnation orders.
That drops the value of the property to near-zero, and if you're the bank holding that mortgage, you are in trouble.
Watch the action with the banks.
You're an illegal and you've had your immigration-court hearing.
The judge issued a "Get the Hell Out of Here" order, which you ignored because Joe Biden.
Then Trump came along.
... An ICE memo obtained by The Associated Press is directing federal immigration officers to use force to enter homes without a signed judge’s warrant, marking a "seemingly unconstitutional" reversal of longstanding practice. ...
The AssPress found "experts". Well, actually, ONE lawprof from Cardozo in New York City.
...Lindsay Nash, a law professor at Yeshiva University’s Cardozo School of Law...said there’s an "enormous potential for overreach, for mistakes and we’ve seen that those can happen with very, very serious consequences."...
"Potential". "Mistakes" "can happen" ..... Three ways of saying "I don't like this policy but can't find anything explicitly wrong with it."
Here's the reality (credit to AssPress for including it):
...Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin told the AP that everyone the department serves with an administrative warrant has already had "full due process and a final order of removal."
She said the officers issuing those warrants have also found probable cause for the person’s arrest. She said the Supreme Court and Congress have "recognized the propriety of administrative warrants in cases of immigration enforcement," without elaborating....
Shall we play "Expert" here? Why not? Can't be any worse than the clown-show AssPress brings to the party.
When Homeland Security says '.......officers also found probable cause......for arrest,' it means that the goblin in question continued his/her criminal enterprises even AFTER the final "Get the Hell Out of Here" order was issued.
And whaddya wanna bet that SCOTUS allowed those raids under those specific circumstances?
Yup. Another AssPress innuendo-and-rumor story. One "expert" on the side of Chaos, no "expert" who is on the side of Right Order........the typical B.S.
This is amusing.
... The new Milwaukee County Board proposal says this: Law enforcement needs written authorization before staging in Milwaukee County Parks...
Since it's Milwaukee, "law enforcement" actually means "ICE," the outfit that's hauling rapists, murderers, and drug-dealers out of the USA. Apparently this committee values the rapists, murderers, and drug-dealers more than the rest of the citizens in SE Wisconsin.
But you knew that already.
But there's a problem.
... "Many of the local chiefs have expressed concern about this, where even some have said: then we just won’t go into the parks, which is what [County Parks] Director Smith and the sheriff’s office do not want to happen, because we rely heavily on each other to keep all 160-plus parks and parkways safe," said Milwaukee County Sheriff Chief Deputy Brian Barkow....
Whoops! Whoopsie!!
So the Milwaukee County Board committee--in effect--just voted to keep Milwaukee County Parks UNSAFE.
That'll be a great tourism poster, eh?
The Walz/Democrat Insurrection in Minnesota makes perfect sense if you understand what ICE is doing--that is, removing illegals and their fraud-Democrat Party financing schemes just before the 2030 Census.
... what’s causing the crisis in Minnesota is the Democratic Party’s increasingly desperate effort to maintain its viability in the face of Trump’s populist challenge. A year ago, David Catron explained ... the reapportionment of House seats (and the related impact on the Electoral College) after the 2030 Census...
McCain quotes Catron's essay:
...The left-leaning Brennan Center for Justice, for example, estimates that California will lose four [House] seats and New York will lose two. Likewise, Illinois, Minnesota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin will probably lose one seat each.
Which states will gain House seats and Electoral College votes? Florida and Texas are likely to pick up four seats, while Arizona, Idaho, North Carolina and Utah will gain one each. It’s no coincidence that Democrat governors in blue states which stand to lose clout in Congress and the Electoral College oppose President Trump’s immigration policies, particularly deportation. Why? The Census Bureau counts people rather than citizens. That includes “unauthorized migrants.” …
Consequently, any state with a large population of illegal immigrants has a substantial political incentive to resist attempts by the Trump administration to deport them....
Doh.
Along with those losses, which are extremely significant, comes the severe diminution of Party coffers, which are currently being fattened by Somali-like frauds which kick back hundreds of millions to their patrons, which are 99.44/100ths Pure Democrat.
Got it?
It's existential.
McCain's essay goes into early US history--which is interesting--and comes out here:
...Like the New Englanders of the early 1800s, the liberal elites of the 21st century fear being frozen out of power. “The Blue Model of government,” as Ben Weingarten calls it, is fiscally unsustainable, especially because it inspires so many productive citizens to “vote with their feet” by moving to taxpayer-friendly states like Florida and Texas.
Consider this: In 1984, when Ronald Reagan won a 49-state landslide, Minnesota was the only state that went for Democrat Walter Mondale, a native son of Minnesota. That deprived Reagan of 10 Electoral College votes. Minnesota still has 10 Electoral College votes, but that’s likely to be reduced to nine after the 2030 Census. Meanwhile, the states of Texas and Florida, which had a total of 50 Electoral College votes between them in 1984, now have 70 Electoral College votes combined, and will have even more after 2030.
The Red states are booming; Blue states like Minnesota are fading, and the fight over deporting illegal immigrants is part of a frantic attempt by Democrats to hold onto power....
It is NOT an accident that Wisconsin's Election Commission (and its D-dominated judiciary) are doing their damndest to prevent fair elections and transparent audit-and-review of those. And if you object that "Robin Vos is doing the same thing," well, yes, he is, and for the same reason. Being the #2 banana in a 10-electoral vote State is a LOT more significant than being the #2 banana in a 9- or 8-vote State. Robin likes his perks, too.
Jamie Dimon is the Big Kahuna at JPMorgan Chase, a Big Kahuna Bank in New York City.
His Big Kahuna Bank issues lots of credit cards getting interest rates of anywhere between 15-30%. That's an excellent return, to say the least. Some would call it "Usury," but let's not get hung up there.
Dimon started screaming like a stuck pig about Trump's desire to max out credit card rates at 10%. Dimon predicted all sorts of maladies beginning with 'some people will not get (usurious-rate) credit,' then moving to 'the economy will collapse if people cannot get credit cards,' and going apocalyptic over the Rise of the Oceans and Baking of the Plains.
Well, maybe he didn't say that last thing.
Anyhow, why is Jamie really crying?
Trump-ism writ large. The Treehouse has the story.
...As noted in the beginning of the WEF panel discussion by Christine Legarde, the construct of global economics was built upon a foundation of interdependent trade dependencies. If nations are no longer reliant upon other nations for sourcing of goods and services, the global construct of banking and finance then begins to collapse.
Globalism in its economic construct is a series of dependencies. If those dependencies are severed, if each country has the ability to feed, produce and innovate independently, then the entire dependency model around globalism collapses.
Within the globalism model that was historically created there was a group of people, western nations, banks, finance and various government leaders, who controlled the organization and rules of the trade dependencies. The action being taken for self-sufficiency, in combination with the approach promoted by President Trump that each nation state should generate their own needs, then the rules-based order that has existed for global trade will collapse. ...
IOW, Jamie and his ilk--they are Legion--will become near-irrelevant. They will no longer make the rules, they will no longer be a necessary global evil.........and if you combine that with a cap of 10% on credit cards, Jamie and his cabal may have to live on compensation packages of far less than $50 million/year.
Awwwwww........
Another of the cases in which Milwaukee County twits allow dangerous people to party on with only a $500.00 cash bail.
.. According to a criminal complaint, Gerard Washington, 34, tried to hide an AR-15 in branches and foliage after fleeing from officers and crashing his car....
He (allegedly) attempted to strangle his girlfriend back in '23. But that's not serious, is it? So Kristy Yang let this animal run free with only a $500.00 bond.
You can look up Washington's case on CCAP.
One wonders what excuse Kristy Yang has for her action here, but then........oh, well.........it's Milwaukee County's court system.
The cost of 'data center' electricity will be shoved onto your electric bill if Democrats have their way.
Even worse, the Democrats are happy to add more Green Goddess (their false god) costs to you, too!
...Under the Republican-backed proposal, the Public Service Commission would be responsible for ensuring that no utility costs associated with serving large data centers are passed on to other customers. ...
Democrats copy/pasted the PSC's claims they cannot possibly do that math because they--the PSC--will be confused, or sumpin' sumpin'.
They raised the cost of electricity by THREE HUNDRED PERCENT in the last 20 years. Why? To sacrifice you to their Green Goddess. So 'confusion' over protecting lunchbucket Joe is nothing new to them.
And they want even more of your blood for her:
...The Republican proposal calls for all renewable energy for the data centers to be located onsite. Supporters say the provision addresses community concerns about large-scale renewable projects....
...Democrats argue the requirement would limit renewable options....
Yes. That's the point. Spreading Green Goddess sun-catchers and windmills all over the place is merely another form of pollution and--as we all know--it's also "maybe on, maybe off" power. So the data centers will also have to build their own reliable power sources (coal, gas, nuclear) which the Democrats want YOU to pay for.
By the way: AI is not all it's cracked up to be. This mad rush to put up buildings is .......nuts.
Last night's "news" brought triumphant squawks from the Coiffed Ones that 'US consumers are paying the cost of tariffs according to a [Kiel] study.'
Well, that 'study' has major flaws which the Coiffed Ones will not mention.
...Their key finding is a coefficient of −0.039, with a standard error of 0.024, significant only at the 10 percent level. For non-statisticians: this means the estimate is quite noisy. With 25.6 million observations in their dataset, achieving only marginal statistical significance suggests enormous underlying variation in the data. ...
...The deeper flaw lies in what happens when tariffs reduce imports, which is exactly what the study says occurred. The authors report import values and volumes fell by roughly 28-33 percent. This is where their methodology breaks down....
That's because exporters stopped selling the low-priced goods. Why? Because they could not take the hit to margins required by both maintaining their low price AND paying the tariffs.
Finally:
...the Kiel data only goes to HS6, a much broader category that might simply be “frozen beef.” In short, they are measuring tariffs with a ruler and prices with a yardstick.
This means when the authors assign a tariff rate to their data, they’re using an average across products that actually face quite different tariffs. Some sub-products within “frozen beef” might face 50 percent tariffs while others face 10 percent. The mismatch means their tariff variable is measured with error.
The consequence is predictable: when your key independent variable is noisy, statistical results get biased toward finding no effect. And “no effect” of tariffs on unit values is exactly what the authors interpret as “full pass-through to Americans.” ...
So are YOU paying the tariffs?
Not nearly as much as the Coiffed Ones want you to believe. Not even close.
Billy (Cap'n) Kristol was born a Lefty.
So was Charlie Sykes.
Both pretended to be conservative for a while, and they suckered a lot of people (self included) with their act. They also made a lot of money, which is something they admire.
But like all dogs, Kristol and Sykes have returned to their vomit. Latest from Kristol?
... no one is under any obligation to answer metaphysical or theological questions.
Having said that, I suppose if I were asked, I’d answer: Yes. It seems pretty clear-cut to me. I mean, I personally know adults who were men and are now women....
Expect Charlie to show obeisance to Cap'n Billy with a declaration affirming Billy's insane Clear-Cuttedness.
Here's another factoid you will NEVER see reported in MSM, not even by Highly Trained Professionals such as those at Fox6 in Milwaukee.
Electricity, natural gas, and gasoline.......stuff you have to have..........jumped in price from the day Biden was sworn in until they began dropping off again when Trump returned to the White House.
Wolf Street has it all in charts and graphs.
Big Energy and Biden, sittin' in a tree......
Yep.
One full year since the swearing-in of Donald John Trump, following his third electoral victory.
It is a GREAT anniversary day!
We are reminded that some people think only the US should redress grievances. This is Roger Kimball, for example:
...One thing that is fog-dispersing, though, is the extraordinary armada that Trump is sending Iran’s way. Six B-2 bombers and assorted other aircraft are already at the Chagos Islands base of Diego Garcia, “the silent launchpad of American power in the Indian Ocean.” Four C-17 Globemasters, full of war materiel, are joining them. Last week, it was reported that the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier group was steaming from the South China Sea towards the Middle East. Just a day or two back, it was reported that a second aircraft carrier group, led by the USS George H. W. Bush, was en route to the Middle East. That’s more than 150 warplanes and thousands of Marines. At the same time, large amounts of military equipment, including U.S. air defense systems, are being transferred from Europe to the Middle East.
Many commentators, noting Trump’s oft-proclaimed desire for “peace on earth,” believe he has paused to see if negotiations with Iran might end the slaughter. I doubt it. Trump’s desire for peace is perfectly genuine. ..
No, that ticking sound you hear is not the world clock. It is the countdown to Iran’s liberation. Let us hope that it encompasses not just the obliteration of that horrible Islamist regime but also the unraveling and supersession of radical Islam itself. As the world has seen repeatedly since 1979 when the Ayatollah Khomeni returned to Tehran from Paris, it is a perverted, misogynistic, and death-embracing ideology masquerading as a religion. ...
Gee, Roger. Europe is a few thousand miles closer to this bunch, and Israel is practically next-door.
Why the Hell are US blood and treasure put at risk instead of those of France, England, Germany, Denmark (heh), and Italy?
Anyone else notice a problem with this???
Took a while, but the NYT is now on the warpath.
...“Beyond labels and name-calling, the death of Ms. Good and the protests and anger in its wake have sparked a response from many on the right that is particularly targeted at white women in the streets, even though men have been just as involved,”...
... The term AWFUL [also AWFL] is not the first derisive name targeting white women. People across the political spectrum once gleefully targeted so-called Karens, a term meant to denigrate women — usually white and middle-aged — caught using their privilege to bend the world in their direction.
And the use of AWFUL emerged well before Ms. Good was killed. Conservative critics began attaching it to female protesters at least as far back as last summer....
The acronym so scandalized the New York Times that it even tattled to the Department of Homeland Security about it and its growing popularity.
They found 'psychologists' and 'social science' types to negatively analyze those who use the term.
Yah, well. Sit on it and rotate, you miserable AWFLs.
The Wisconsin-area local governments like Port Washington who are delivering Big Sloppy Wet Kisses to the "A.I." crowd would be well-advised to re-think their thinking. Several times. Over a period of 2-3 years.
Why?
Long story short, Open AI--one of the pioneers--is not looking too good.
....an analysis of OpenAI's finances suggests they could run out of money as soon as 2027. (Tom's Hardware)
If you're wondering why the beancounters at the big memory manufacturers are being wary of rapid expansion in the face of unprecedented demand, well, it's because they are able to read a spreadsheet and they do not like what they see....
We don't like beancounters either. But they are often right (except back in the '60's at Chrysler, where they were spectacularly wrong.)
Previously, another astute observer (ex-banker) noticed a problem with the way Microsoft is placing its bets on AI--that is, they are placing the liabilities on companies NOT spelled "Microsoft." That is a big F'n hint, too.
Think all those AI barns are going to be occupied in 10 years? 5 years? Wanna bet your personal money and property on it?
The "Greater Israel" plot which would have expanded the borders of Israel in several directions (to include Syria? Hungary? London? New Delhi??) appears to have gone *POOF* under the Trump plan.
Israel may be displeased with President Trump’s Gaza Peace Plan, as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has surprisingly come out claiming that the President’s Gaza Executive Board was “not coordinated with Israel and runs contrary to its policy.”...
MAY have?
The plan includes a "Board" which--HORRORS!!!!--will include a member from Turkey AND a member from Qatar. That would explain the enormous amount of slash-and-burn remarks made about Qatar and Tucker Carlson, who happens to like that little country. Carlson is taking it on the chops from the likes of 'Tel Aviv' Levin and 'Jerusalem Benny' Shapiro, yet Tucker keeps getting more subscriptions while Benny's little propaganda-op's listeners diminish. Huh.
Of course, there's more!!!
...Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir calls for a "return to war with enormous force," and Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich claims that the body is made up of "states that breathed life into Hamas."
“The Gaza Strip does not need any ‘executive board’ to oversee its ‘rehabilitation’ — it needs to be cleared of Hamas terrorists, who must be eliminated, alongside the encouragement of large-scale voluntary emigration — in accordance with President Trump’s original plan,” Ben Gvir said....
Gee, Ben, would that include bombing the piss out of every square inch of land occupied by Palestinians (or Syrians, or Iraqis, or Buddhists, or Greeks.....) like you've already done to Gaza?
That's what you call "encouragement"?
Not on OUR dime, Benny. GFY.
This is precisely why Trump met with Tucker last week. That was a signal to the Stern Gang Wannabees that their genocide campaign had better come to a halt.
Think they'll take the hint?
There is a very good reason--in fact, several hundred BILLION reasons--that the Big Central Government can be the cause-of-death to countries.
Ask the Russians how Big Central worked for them before Putin dragged the country away from total bankruptcy/chaos. But we digress.
The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) released a technical appendix to its 2015 fraud risk management guidance this month, aimed at helping federal agencies strengthen how they prevent fraud in U.S. government programs. The reason? Many still lack basic safeguards.
Previous GAO reports have revealed the extent of fraud across the federal government.
A report from 2024 showed that the U.S. loses between $233 billion and $521 billion annually to fraud, based on data from 2018-2022....
Call it ~$350 BILLION A YEAR
SIX YEARS.
$1.8 TRILLION
We've jokingly stated that pushing all of the D.C. metro area into the Atlantic would solve a lot of problems.
We're not wrong.
Most of you 14 readers know that Toyota has a hydrogen-powered car available. It is sold overseas, and on a very limited basis in the USA, specifically California.
As you read the linked article, notice how the P.I. (ambulance-chaser) "shaped" (wrote) the story.
When you read words like "many" [buyers complain] you know that the actual number is.......very small, indeed.
When you read that "Toyota lied" [about the car's features] you know that the buyers are Virtue Signalers who did not listen to the sales guy, or chose to "forget" what they were told AND SHOULD HAVE READ in the Owner's Manual.
When you see alleged hits to the buyers' (how many?? We don't know) credit score being solely due to skipping payments on the cars........well........sure...........right. No doubt.
Didja notice the ultra-vague narrative about the $15K "cash toward fuel" vs. the "six years free fill-ups" part of the story? Wanna bet which 'award' these buyers took? Hmmmmm??? Think maybe their need for cash had anything to do with their "credit report" problems? Hmmmmmm????
And what--exactly--was Toyota supposed to do about hydrogen supply-chain problems?
...It took about 3 milliseconds to pull up this review from Car & Driver. Did the buyers try this technique for obtaining knowledge?
This provides up to 402 miles of emissions-free driving between refills, according to the EPA,...
NOT "according to Toyota."
... but the limited hydrogen refueling infrastructure...
Oh. No ExxonMobil of Hydrogen on every corner? Who knew??
But it does suck on acceleration and "passing pop."
Oh--by the way--there are a crap-ton of 'fueling' and 'range' problems with EV's, too. Read any P.I.-written stories about them lately?
"News reporters" love to take phone calls from lawyers and activists. That way, the "highly-trained professionals" don't have to actually ask questions, or hang around City Hall or the Capitol to learn about what is really going on.
Trust few of them.
A number of slimebucket FEEBs have yet to be indicted, convicted, and flushed down the toilet with the other sewage, but it appears that Kash Patel is getting other important work done.
...The FBI announced on Saturday that it had arrested Alejandro Rosales Castillo, who has been a Ten Most Wanted Fugitive since 2017.
FBI Director Kash Parel said Castillo was arrested in Mexico on Friday....
... “Alejandro Castillo is the fifth FBI Ten Most Wanted fugitive captured since last year, more than the entire previous four years combined. That reflects leadership, not luck,” Patel said in a statement. “When law enforcement is given clear backing and the freedom to act, results follow. The work of the FBI Charlotte field office, our state and local partners, and Mexican authorities was exceptional, and this arrest finally opens the door to long-overdue justice for Sandy Ly Le’s family.”...
IOW, the Feebs are no longer hunting down anyone who was within 100 miles of D.C. on J6.
Also of note: the Mexican authorities cooperated......
It's OUR hemisphere, Dr. Feser, so liberating people from murderous regimes which also provide FOBs for Red China and Russia.......well.........we don't like them. (Tell us, Dr. Feser: does THIS go against the teachings of St John Paul II???)
...the United States has deployed two major amphibious assault ships — USS Iwo Jima and USS San Antonio — to waters just miles north of Cuba. These are not routine patrol vessels. These are power-projection platforms designed for rapid deployment of Marines, aircraft, and heavy equipment. Military analysts are paying close attention — because moves like this are never random. When amphibious strike groups reposition this close to a hostile or unstable region, it usually means one thing: Washington wants options on the table. No announcement. No press conference. Just steel quietly sliding into place. History shows that before major decisions are made, the board is cleared… and the pieces are positioned. Whether this is pressure, deterrence, or preparation — the message is unmistakable: America is watching...
It's taken long enough. Fidel imprisoned Cubans in the early 1960's and his Communist regime has tortured, murdered, and/or Gulag-ed tens of thousands of them ever since.
Think the current set of dictatorial slimebuckets will get the Venezuela Hint?
Rubio might have another assignment to add to his portfolio...
This happened in North Dakota. The incident is from March, 2025.
Merely a co-incidence that the (now room-temperature) goblin is alleged to have had children in the car and has a history of mental disturbance and aimed directly at an officer who was gravely injured??
Sure. Co-incidence.
He's feeling the heat of a US Attorney investigation focusing on his total non-cooperation with the Criminal Removal Unit of ICE.
...Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) mobilized the state National Guard on Saturday as anti-ICE protesters have taken to the streets in Minnesota.
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety confirmed the mobilization in a post on X, saying that troops are currently engaging in staging exercises. If deployed, they will be armed and will wear reflective vests to distinguish themselves, the Minnesota National Guard said....
A shipment of TimmyTampons for the male members of the Guard has not arrived, which delayed the deployment.
If you watch the clip, you will notice that the reporter's number is deceptively accurate.....
There are--perhaps--two hundred. So, technically, there are "hundreds."
But any March-A-Round that includes Ms. Lawein is not large.
Another video shows--perhaps--three hundred. But that one, just like the first one, also shows that the March-A-Round bunch was 1) white; 2) largely older; and 3) female-dominated.
The news directors at Channel 4 and Channel 12 didn't think this was worth sending a crew.
They were right.
Oh. Well, that explains it.
...Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) responded to President Donald Trump increasing support among black male voters by saying that “people are easily brainwashed.”
Host Margaret Hoover said... “Donald Trump had increased his share of black male voters by double, by 50%.”
Clyburn responded, “Simply because people are easily brainwashed.”...
Must be the same bunch who cannot obtain an ID and cannot operate a computer or smartphone.
Sure, sure.
Don Surber righteously calls out PowerLine.
ITEM 28: The Times of Israel reported, “White House: Iran called off 800 executions following threats from Trump.”
Power Line’s reaction? “Did Trump Chicken Out Again?”
You can take the fool out of Never Trump Land, but you cannot take the Never Trump out of the fool.
But PowerLine has an excellent comics segment--largely because it's not loaded with Mossad crap propaganda.
Surber best be careful before he gets the Tucker Treatment.
Amusing. Although it's not likely that she knows the history.....we'll give it a run.
Democratic Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib went on an emotional rant about the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recruitment posts on social media during a Friday shadow hearing in Minnesota....
...Tlaib held up a printed Jan. 9 social media post by the DHS’ official account, shared across multiple platforms, that depicted a mountainous landscape with a man riding a horse in the right corner. The photo featured text that read “we will have our home again.”...
Hmmmmm.
Man riding horse. Repossession of "our home."
Here's what that 'Muslima' saw in her little head:

If these are "highly trained professionals," America is sunk.
This sounds very familiar.
Native Greenlander Amarok Petersen was 27 years old when she learned the gut-wrenching truth about why she couldn’t have children — and that Denmark was to blame.
Suffering from severe uterine problems, a medical doctor discovered an IUD birth control device in her body that she didn’t know she had.
Danish doctors had implanted it when she was just 13 as part of a population control program for thousands of native Greenlandic girls and women. ...
Oh yes, there's more!
...Even in adulthood, medical decisions were made without Petersen’s consent. Plagued with problems after the IUD, she had repeated surgeries for unexplained pain. It wasn’t until years later that doctors informed her that her fallopian tubes had been removed in one of the operations in the early 2000s.
Her family also suffered under Denmark’s so-called “Little Danes experiment,” in which Greenlandic children were forcibly sent to Denmark for adoption or institutional care — often permanently separated from their families, she said.
The program, which ran from the 1950s through the 1970s, was part of Denmark’s broader effort to assimilate Greenlandic children, often without parental consent.
It happened to her mother’s brother, Petersen said. Other relatives were subjected to medical experimentation, she added....
The United States happens to be THE guarantor of Denmark's independence. Now it appears that Trump and the US would be the guarantors of Inuit fertility and tradition.
Yet they call us "raaaaaaacisssssss."
There is a lot of concern about the price of groceries.
First thing: those prices rocketed up during the Biden Autopen-Cabbage regime, not during Trump's administration.
Second thing:
...A 1997 grocery receipt recently resurfaced showing a 122 item purchase from H-E-B totaling $155.34. When that same order was recreated using today’s prices, the cost came out to $504.11. That is not a small increase or a rounding error. That is more than triple the price for the exact same food. ...
Let's skip the 'what about wages' discussion here, which would be a legitimate offset point.
Instead, let's note something else that Biden (and Obozo, and Bush the Dumber) did to you while "saving the planet":
Electricity costs in Wisconsin have ALSO TRIPLED since 2000. You can live without steak. But you cannot live without electricity. By the way: food stores and food processors also pay wildly inflated energy costs.
It's not just Wisconsin, either.
...William Vanderhoop, a member of the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head Aquinnah, has run Tomahawk Charters, a whale-watching and charter-fishing business for decades. In a statement announcing the lawsuit, Vanderloop said his business has also been devastated by the turbines.
“The Biden Administration chose a big, foreign-owned wind company, Vineyard Wind, over local businessmen, hurt my business and jacked up our electric rates in the process, all in the name of a big green lie,” Vanderhoop said.
Pronk said that the energy bill for his freezers was about $500 in the summer, but it’s now up to $1,800 some months....
The demolition of that Nantucket industry increases the cost of seafood, ya'know.
Yet we still (allegedly) have "climate change."
You will have pre-historic living conditions and you will love it.
Here we have another "Democrats Be Democrats" story, along with 'Another black-robed DEI appointment takes the stage story.'
...[Fed judge in MN] Menendez’s order bars Homeland Security and ICE officials involved in Operation Metro Surge from “using pepper-spray or similar nonlethal munitions and crowd dispersal tools against persons who are engaging in peaceful and unobstructive protest activity.” The judge also prohibited federal agents from stopping vehicles following them, as long as those vehicles are maintaining a safe and “appropriate” distance....
To a great degree, that ruling is a big "Doh!!" The prohibitions are utterly useless--except to lawyers who will be raking in mint (paid by taxpayers) for 'civil rights violations' which are purely a matter of judgment by on-scene officers and commanders.
More serious: the ruling tends to push the Government into a declaration under the Insurrection Act, bringing in the 101 Airborne or perhaps a couple of MEUs.
Note well: the 101st was called in to counter the deliberate civil rights violations in Arkansas perpetrated by the Democrat Governor and Democrat Mayor of Little Rock.
Notice anything about that?
A synod in Spain has an agenda including discussion of a 'temporary priesthood' and--of course--wimmin priests.
"You are a priestforeverfor a while, according to the order ofMelchizidekCdl Cobo."
Takes nerve, eh?
Trump's decapitation of the Drug/Crime/Rape cartel in Venezuela was never really about "oil," no matter how hard the Democrats and MSM (BIRM) try to make it so.
It was about getting Mexico, Colombia, and a few other countries in our hemisphere to straighten out their acts- - or else.
It was also telling Red China to leave. Now.
...“The U.S. ouster of the Venezuelan strongman Nicolás Maduro,” the Journal reported, quoting anonymous Chinese officials, “is forcing Beijing into a high-stakes recalculation of its ambitions in a region that looks like America’s backyard again.”
This is multipolarity. “The discourse in China’s policymaking circles has shifted toward a potential trade-off,” the article said. “If the Western Hemisphere belongs to the Americans, then the Taiwan Strait belongs to the Chinese.” The best guess from up in the cheap seats is that Beijing’s analysts are exactly right. President Trump will let them have Taiwan, at least to some politically palatable extent. But China must get out of our backyard....
By the way, Trump & Putin understand each other very well:
... in late December, Russia had already begun a quiet evacuation of its Venezuelan diplomats’ families. “Moscow, which publicly denied a news report on the evacuation,” the Journal said, “didn’t inform the Chinese of its plan.” It sounds like Putin enjoyed the benefit of a heads-up— and didn’t tell anyone. Weird!...
Or not.
It is more and more evident by the month. Ted Perry--former "Bucky Badger" is losing his grip on the Real World.
During last night's broadcast (the 5:30 portion), Perry mentioned the story about the ICE agent in MPLS who shot and killed the insurrectionist-Barbie. DHS issued a statement saying that 'the agent suffered from internal bleeding' as a result of getting whacked by the insurrectionist's vehicle.
Perry--in an incredible moment which betrayed his Hard Left self--remarked that 'some people disagree' on whether that agent had internal bleeding.
Yah, well, Teddy: 'some people disagree' that the Earth is round-ish, too.
This marks another giant step toward Teddy Perry's long-term visit in an asylum. Too bad. He makes a great Bucky Badger.
Took Trump a very long time to do elementary discernment.
... In an interview with Reuters, President Trump was asked why the Russia/Ukraine negotiations appear to have stalled. President Trump responded with one word, “Zelenskyy.”...
Looks like Russia gets its territory (eastern Ukraine) back. US will probably walk out soon.
Good.
Now and then we give free advice to our 18 readers. Today? Which doctors to avoid!
In this clip, a doctor-ette named Nisha Verma refuses to answer the question "Can Men Get Pregnant?"
She holds an M.D. from the University of North Carolina's med school and now teaches at Emory in Atlanta, and practices her very own brand of "medicine" in that city.
So--if you're in Atlanta, and are in need of a physician claiming to be an OB/GYN, use your brain. Avoid "Dr. Nisha."
(Might be interesting to inquire about what UNC's med school teaches on that subject. Remember that it was a UNC doctor who developed Covid-19, too.)
Here's something that the Archdiocesan-paid lawyer doesn't tell you.
... ICE officers “are sworn federal law enforcement officers who operate within the confines of the law. Section 287 of the Immigration and Nationality Act provides ICE officers the authority to arrest aliens without a judicial warrant,” ICE explains. The agency notes:
“In fact, no judge in this country has the authority to issue a warrant for a civil immigration violation. Congress, by statute, vested this authorization solely to supervisory immigration officers.”
“Local police officers don’t need a warrant when they encounter someone breaking the law in a public space, and the same holds true for ICE officers.”...
So an Administrative Warrant is sufficient for arrest of illegals who are violating the law.
Gee. Wonder why that wasn't mentioned by the Archdiocesan-paid lawyer. Hmmmmm??
Let's see how they like the Steve Bannon treatment.
Bill and Hillary Clinton have officially refused to testify in the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee's investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein — defying subpoenas and risking being held in contempt of Congress.
The former president and Secretary of State were scheduled to appear on Capitol Hill for closed-door depositions Tuesday and Wednesday. But, in a letter to House Oversight Chair James Comer, attorneys for the Clintons said their clients would not be complying....
Screw that old bitch and her "husband."
With friends like these, it's more and more clear ..........
Global central bankers issued a statement Tuesday defending U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell following the launch of a criminal investigation into the central bank chief.
“We stand in full solidarity with the Federal Reserve System and its Chair Jerome H. Powell,” central bank chiefs including European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde and Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey, said in a joint statement. ...
There's a reason that Americans are suspicious of the Fed.
Even moreso now.
ADDED: Ticker presents the numbers. Apparently Powell is spending about 300% of the typical price. And he swore he didn't know .........stuff.......
