I am Corrado Rainone, currently a Deep Learning Research Engineer at Qualcomm AI Research, Netherlands.
In my previous life, I was a theoretical physicist of disordered and amorphous systems. I earned my PhD at Sapienza Università di Roma and the Laboratoire de Physique Théorique (LPT) de l’École Normale Supérieure, Paris, under the joint supervision of Giorgio Parisi and Francesco Zamponi. I subsequently spent five years as postdoc, first at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, under the guidance of prof. Itamar Procaccia, and subsequently at the University of Amsterdam, in the group of prof. Edan Lerner.
