Hello there fellow bored people of the Internet, I am Florin Cimpoca and this website is a collection of my short stories. As you have so cleverly deduced from the title of this blog, my short stories are, mainly, comedies. DON’T LEAVE JUST YET, I WILL GIVE YOU A FREE T-SHIRT (not really) IF YOU STAY!

As I was saying, writing is a passion of mine and since I have a fantastic sense of humor, or so my multiple personalities tell me, I decided to share my work with the world (by which I mean the 22 people who will probably visit this website on a regular basis). I encourage my readers to comment on my work because, honestly, I really do want to know what you think. I don’t give a crap about positive reviews just for the sake of not hurting my feelings (though a kind word can go a long way), give it to me straight. I won’t delete anything you have to say in the comment section unless it’s spam.

I will probably be posting a chapter (or whatever you want to call it) per week. The reason for this is simple, I write in my free time which isn’t always a lot.

    1. Hey there,
      I’m Romanian, so my first name, “Florin”, comes from the word “floare”, which means flower and “Cimpoca” comes from the word “cimpoi”, which means bagpipe. The most common first names in our language are saint names, like Andrew, Michael, Peter etc., but there are a few exceptions, like my own. Last names, on the other hand, are usually variations of: objects, professions or names from other languages.
      I hope I didn’t bore you with my explanation.

      1. I see. I’m from Switzerland and in a specific corner Florin or Flurin is a common name. They speak Rumantsch (Switzerland’s 4th language) there which apparently is very close to Romanian. That’s why I asked…
