Join me celebrating my new album for Sunnyside Records, available on all platforms and on this website for sale. It is a Blues album, which subtitle is “12 Variations on the Blues”, with liner notes by legendary sound engineer James Farber (who also recorded the album). We play a wide range of blues from the traditional “Old Stack O’Lee Blues” made famous by Sidney Bechet, to Ornette Coleman’s “Ramblin” or Carla Bley “Lawns.” It features a wonderful cast of musicians:

MARCH 2024 – “THE CONTRAPUNTIST” WITH QUATUOR YAKO @ FRANCE MUSIQUE RADIO
Générations France Musique presented by Clément Rochefort. Radio live performance of my string quartet “Le Miroir” by the Quatuor Yako, + an appearance of pianist Baptiste TROTIGNON, a long time collaborator on various musical projects.
JUNE-JULY 2023 – CLOVIS NICOLAS QUARTET “THE CONTRAPUNTIST” TOUR
This tour featured Clovis’ latest album “The Contrapuntist” with appearances in two of France’s major Jazz Festivals, a live broadcast on TSF Jazz Radio and a concert at Duc des Lombards in Paris. The line-up included trumpeter Jeremy PELT, pianist Simona PREMAZZI, Clovis NICOLAS on bass and Leon PARKER on drums. Watch HERE
