I am American and seeing something familiar that reminds me of home brought comfort to me after I first arrived, but I have consistently been let down. I find the service to be less than and this surprises me as I would think that such a huge worldwide franchise would have some regulations set in place. The food is my main complaint though as it always taste old and not like other mc Donald’s around the globe. In US there are strict regulations put in place concerning their fryers. They must change the grease frequently according to FDA rules and regulations. Obviously this is something that is neither a concern for them here, nor done. You can tell when your fries taste like old grease and chicken that was fried in the same batch. You can clearly taste the difference between fresh French fries as opposed to ones that have been fried in days old grease with numerous other foods. It disgust me thinking about it. Tonight was my last straw and I will not eat at another mc Donlads while living here. It’s a shame really that cheapness and lack of courtesy and training have tarnished the name and its food. I have gone to several different branches, mostly in areas where the expat community is plenty and I find that even with such a high volume of expats they still skimp on food quality service?! Don’t they know that if their food is good and their service is even better that they will get more patrons based on word of mouth within the expat community? That one good branch will cause us to drive far and wide just to get a good burger and fries along with a friendly and courteous staff?
I am truly disgusted and I tell you my experience here in KL has not been the greatest and I often wonder why other expats like this place? I find the general public to lack manners and basic courtesy– and I’ve traveled quite a bit too! It’s not only the food here at this popular American eatery that stirs this in me, but overall the experience with the locals have left me eyeing a transfer back home. It’s a shame too because there are the few here who really go above and beyond in so many ways but they’re fighting the battle of ignorance for everyone — and those others seem to care less that their economy and overall success in their business could be so much better if they just tried a little harder to show the better side of Malaysia. Malaysia has so much to offer the world and its inhabitants but as long as carelessness, lack of concern and overall quality of goods and attitudes towards others– whether local or foreign, continuously leaving people with a bad impression– will taint the reputation. And everyone who has even an ounce of common sense knows that word of mouth is the strongest impression and advertising out there. Malaysia doesn’t
Need us to function, sure, but wouldn’t it be nice to have such an awesome reputation for your people, your food and the quality of life that people flock here in droves? There are so many intelligent people and good things here, but unfortunately it’s hiding under a blanket of bad things and experiences for so many. I truly feel sorry for the ones who have to hold the reputation of this beautiful country on their backs all alone because the majority of the population could care less how their country is doing and it’s reputation in the global community and where this reputation will take them in the future.
To all the good ones, thank you! From my heart for making bright moments in my stay here….to all the others, shame on you for representing your country and your fellow countrymen in such poor taste and ways. I am proud of where I am from despite the many many bad things, but I know when I travel I leave a better impression on someone, I represent the good, and I wish that would be the case for so many people around this world– KL in particular since I am here now– the world and our daily experience would be a better place.
Who knew a trip to mc Donald’s could spark such controversy and anger….but then again, shouldn’t it? I mean, shouldn’t a franchise such as this with a slogan like that be held to a higher standard given its presence in the global community? And shouldn’t KL and all the franchises and its managers help to maintain this instead of offering its patrons poor service and poor quality food? Think about it !
]]>The condos behind, 3units, looked like joss-stick, with the building infront(galleria) looking like a tombstone.
Its bad fengshui, apart from the no access from
Certain location.

]]>I was a very close friend of Yasmin (yes, I know many claim this, but in my case, it’s strangley true) and know a lot of the details of Yasmin’s own story from her own mouth. But she never mentioned a child. In fact she told me that she had told another friend that she wanted a child, but was not successful. So you see, my stories, from Yasmin’s mouth, tell me that she has no child though she wanted one and hoped herself capable of having one.
What led you to believe that she has a child? I’m truly interested to know.
