As per usual, not all the contributions made the paper...16 pages only go so far.

We will be publishing those contributions on the blog for discussion.

Jock Palfreeman is a 23 year old Australian who had the courage to stand up against 16 Nazis on a night out in Sofia, Bulgaria. He witnessed the fascists chasing and attacking two young Roma boys. Jock ran to the boys' aid, he did his best to keep the Nazis at bay by waving a knife at them but they attacked him. Jock was left with nowhere to run and had no choice but to defend himself. One of the Nazis was stabbed and killed and another was injured. The Roma boys ran away.

Jock has since been tried and sentenced for murder and attempted murder. He has been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment and has been fined £220,000. [More details of his case can be found below or at www.freejock.net.]

Jock has its appeal on 21st of October- it is his only chance to walk free. We need to do everything we can in order to get him out of there. An international Day of Action for Jock on has been called on the 19th. If you can organise an event in your area please contact: anarchosolidarity@yahoo.com .

It is also of vital importance to keep up the pressure with protest messages and smaller actions up till this time. Please distribute this call widely, put it on your blogs, websites, forums, email lists.

Dave from Wakefield (a CWF activist 10 years ago) send the following sad news:

One of our "membership"; Sankey; became involved in late 2001, after his details were passed on to me by Paul from London Class War. Sankey was known locally for moving to Wakefield from Wigan, Greater Manchester (formally in Lancashire)

Recently, I have been trying to consolidate and rebuild links and contact with the Libertarian/Anarchist Class Concious Communist/Socialist movement. I was particually fond of Sankey and had desperately been trying to find him and re-establish contact and, more importantley, friendship with him. The general view of politicos in the Wakefield area was that the tall man had "gone AWOL". I began to suspect that he had probably moved back to his beloved/infamous birthplace (Wigan!).

Sadly it is clear that Sankey has passed away after returning to Wigan


I take it that nobody in London knows of this tragedy. I would be grateful if anyone who was active and has now dropped out in the London CW scene has this bad news passed on to them.

Sankey was a great bloke. He was 6'4" and 8 stone(!) of character. He was VERY active for Class War and attended many Demos, Meetings and other Operations and Activism in the Class War name. He cared passionately about Liberty, Anti-Racism/Fascism, Class and Animal Rights. His "Fuck Off Thatcher" hand tattoo even appeared in print in the Class War paper.

I think it's tragic that none of us in Wakefield and the wider Anarchist movement knew of his demise and could pay tribute to him at any funeral he had.

I'm sure that anyone still from the early 2000s who was active in London CW and the paper would agree that some kind of written tribute should appear in the next issue of "Class War".


I hope that Sankey wont be forgotten by our movement.

Well, as we’ve predicted, Cameron is preparing to bow to the Queen, as you’d expect from the supercilious slime rag. Phillip and David will be smoking cigars, planning to take over the world...kind of like Pinky and the Brain...only, who is the Brain?

Rupert Murdoch of course. He’ll be celebrating with fine champagne and caviar, whilst the working class wallow in poverty – seeing their livelihood cut to make up for greedy bankers, financiers, politicians and journalists. Rupert’s puppets are dancing to the opening scene of an exciting new era in the class struggle.
