Charlotte Park
Hi, I’m Charlotte! I am currently a fourth year EECS PhD student at MIT, advised by Manish Raghavan and Ashia Wilson. My work focuses on algorithmic problems related to the social impact of AI. I work on problems such as modeling human-AI communication, evaluating alignment in practical contexts, and measuring fairness in the context of generative AI.
Prior to starting at MIT, I received my bachelors from Caltech in Computer Science, where I worked with Leonard Schulman in the Theory of Computation group. During my PhD, I have interned in the Exploratory and Mathematical Sciences group at IBM Research, under the mentorship of Parikshit Ram.
My research has been supported by an MIT Presidential Fellowship, a Siebel Scholarship, and a GEM Fellowship.
