I was sure that there was going to be strong resistance to any thing that resembles a plan to help “we the people”. Corruption is the norm for many of our representatives in Washington. These dumb ass people keep fighting Obama’s plan to help the people. It is screwing the working and middle class. By feeding more money to the rich, and cutting assistance to the working class, the economy is doomed, that has already been proven. Inevitably, the people will take to the streets, because there will be no other place for them to go, and it won’t be pretty either.

When did fixing on schools, or adding law enforcement, bring broadband to rural areas (connecting farmers to more clientele, or allowing people to have phone service), or making our next generation healthier and smarter than us are seen as pork?

The Ratpubs keep saying that the future generations will be paying this stimulus bill, but yet they want to cut out anything that has to do with the future generations.

I am so in agreement with you. What other President(besides Obama) is going state to state to get the stimulus package pass by talking to governors whose states are being hit hard by the lost of jobs? None that I know of.

I wrote a comment at the whitehouse.gov site (which they don’t give enough character count to leave a good long message, but anyways) to say that the Republicans don’t want to help the President out. They want the economy to get worse so that they can have a chance in 2012 to take the power back. And that Obama should stop with the bipartisan because the Ratpubs are not being bipartisan, and get the job done without the Republicans (even though in the Senate they need 60 votes to pass it). It’s ridiculous that the Republican want to cut out things like Food Stamps, money for; transit, school constructions, or anything that makes a city or state run better while adding more tax cuts. It’s just so unbelievable they want to do this. Also they want to add more funds in DEFENSE programs. I see where Ratpubs minds are at.

This is what the President meant when he said the era of unaccountability is over. It means even those at the top have to own up to their failings, and pay the price.

That being said, any mockery and schadenfreude from the Republicans is nothing but a smokescreen – they’ve all got skeletons in their closets, and are just glad the attention’s not on them. I for one will be more than happy to see a few elephant heads on pikes outside the city gates.
