Nickie Ferrante (Cary Grant) is a suave, well-bred playboy,  living the good life by charming wealthy women with his good looks, manners and sophistication. He jet-sets around the world with the rich and famous – in Europe, on yachts, in New York. Always with a beautiful woman of wealth on his arm.

Terry McKay (Deborah Kerr) is a girl from Boston with a dream of going to New York and making it as a singer. As she is working in a night club, she meets Kenneth (Richard Denning), who sees Terry’s potential as the perfect wife, if given the right training. Kenneth takes her away from the hard world of the night clubs and moves her into a penthouse apartment on Park Avenue. Here she can study music, art, literature and become the perfect hostess.

These two girls are living in Istanbul. Their names are Sophy and Ana.  They are  Kurdish and have a lot of problems in the community they are living with. Sime time ago they found a job in a hotel in the centre of the city, near St Sophie mosque, called “The European Hotel” . Many turists  spend their holidays there because it´s not expensive. One day they had a problem with the manager of the hotel because he didn´t want to give them permission to stop working when they heard the voice  from the prayer in the high minarete. After that, they decided to give up working as waitresses and to look for another job near  the area of Galata Tower. A few days later, both fortunately were accepted like turists guides in the Galata  Tower due to the fact that they spoke five languages and had the diploma that they needed. Their experience dealing  with peole from around the world was very valuable and they were very satisfied of having the opportunity of taking home a good salary  to help their family.
