When a society loses its moral compass we have anarchy. This type of society invites bigatry and allows perpetrators who commit evil acts a sence of lagitimacy. When you watch how the media portrays stories in the middle east. The coverage of the Fogel murders got swept under the rugs. Yet, the media is all to eager to run inaccurate and slanderous stories against Israel. How many times do you hear about those gaddam “settlements.” I have even heard some reporters make the settlement issue the only impediment for peace. Every country in the world has a right to build what they want within their own borders. If it’s ok for other countries, why should there be a double standard for Israel. The lack of respect and outright demogonging of Israel stems from a long standing belief, it’s called anti semitism.But, this is not a problem of Judaismn, Israel, or the Jewish people. It’s a result of people not taking accountabilityfor their failres. Scapegoatong the Jewish people went a long way for Hitler indoctrinating the Germanpublic to hate the the Jews and blaming them for every mishap of Germany. Taking accountability is hard work. First, you have to be able to admit there is a problem.You neednvestigate what went wrong, and then you need to design a course of action and be willing to modify that plan if performance is sub par. The sad reality is that people still have not learned the danger in this belief.If we ever want to make the world a better place, we must first go through process of changing our appraoch when dealing with problems. There will always be a group of bigoted people. But, we can shrink the numbers of people who are prejudis if we are willing to do the hard work of refining ourselves.
