I miss Harry Potter. I will miss it even more with no more anything coming out. The movies were not as good as the books but at least they were something.
Sigh. My childhood (okay, actually, for me, my twenties).

I mostly do not use LJ anymore.
But...
DEATHLY HALLOWS TOMORROW!!!
I am encouraged by the trailer.
I have always said that I am pretty sure they will cut the part with Andromeda and Ted and just go directly to the Burrow, and I still expect this. However, if that is not true and they do have them, one of two things will happen: 1.) squeal in a manner entirely unbecoming in a woman of my age, or 2.) I will not approve of the portrayal and I will yell, throw my drink at the screen, and Ashley will have to remove me from the theater.
But I maintain they will cut that part. Because 99.99999999999% of the population would not remember who Andromeda is anyway.
Well, I guess the bad part about working for a non-profit is that sometimes foundations don't renew grants, and your job...stops existing.
In a month.
In the worst economy in 20 years.
I think my mood right now could best be described as "sheer unadulterated panic."
I could use some happy right now flist...
I'm not entirely sure what I plan to do tonight, but I think it's safe to say I will get completely and spectacularly drunk, because I deal with my problems in a mature and responsible fashion.
Well, I can say I felt very close to my fellow Americans today. Very very close. Like, I think some of my fellow Americans accidentally got to third base. I couldn't actually get near enough to see Obama, but I could see the screen and hear, so I guess I'm glad I wasn't too lazy to drag myself out of my apartment and go, even though I walk that usually takes me 30 minutes took me 4 hours. Now I am thawing.
( So here are some picturesCollapse )
