One of CAEP’s four pillars is to provide a forum for Canadian EM research. Both the Research Committee and Academic Section are committed to fostering and developing EM research across Canada. In 2016 the Network of Canadian Emergency Researchers (NCER) was established, which will enable EM researchers to conduct multi-centre research and education studies, provide mentorship, and ultimately improve patient care for all Canadians.
