I never read much as a child, only Baseball Digest and box scores. But one afternoon walking along a hill overlooking Lake Michigan in Milwaukee, I came upon the East Side’s Water Tower, shaped like a sandy limestone minaret, a Muslim call to prayer, with a turquoise top, something opened. I enrolled in university, read Quixote and Kerouac, history, history; I love history. I love sun ra too. I lived and studied in Spain. I write prose and poetry and now live in Montréal, Québec.
My first book of short stories – Dreaming .400: Tales of Baseball Redemption was published by Summer Game Books.
