No one under your leadership will _______________ more than you.

You can almost fill in the blank with anything.  No one under your leadership will work harder than you.  No one under your leadership will be more dedicated than you.  No one under your leadership will show up on time more than you.  No one under your leadership will love people more than you.  No one under your leadership will pray more than you.  No one under your leadership will love Jesus more than you.  You set the pace.

When you dive deeper, this is a hard to swallow thought as the implications are huge.  The reason your team members are where they are is because someone brought them there.  Cough Cough…it was probably you.  Do you want your team to work hard? Work harder. Do you want your team to show up on time? Show up early.  Do you want your team to love Jesus more? Read your Bible and pray more.

We must never expect our teams to do something we’re not willing to do AND have already done.
